  1. Thy're only just bothered to let the GPs practices know, which can't be described as considerate
  2. Lloyds North X Rd closing down. Whats happens if they're you're listed pharmacy for your GPs practice?
  3. Still chaos with lots of items missing. Given the time they've had to sort it, one can only conclude hat customer service means nothing to them, And caring for their own staff too.
  4. Clarke's shoe outlet re-opened in Peckham, I'm glad to say. Got a a pair for £5
  5. They've twice printed out my prescriptions for me because they weren't in stock and I took them to Sogim who did them straight away
  6. Unless you're desperate, avoid it at the moment/ They're re-organising everything. No-one knows where anything is, no staff to help, of course.
  7. No sign of them at Grove Vale this morning
  8. They could have helped me far more with my "everyday banking needs" by keeping the LL branch open
  9. Our postman just leaves all the mail (when it does eventually arrive) on the porch. Just help yourself, folks.
  10. Just been watching three squirrels on a neighbour's roof. They ran round and round and up and down for ages. Playing? I know nothing about squirrels' behaviour. They kept going under the guttering, I suspect they might be living in the roof, we had a nest in our roof once and very expensive it was to get it cleared.
  11. The Chartwell Charity shop. 180 Rye Lane, sells fabric pieces
  12. I thought the group of lads who got off the 37 bus at the junction then proceeded to p.ss along the wall of the white painted flats added tone to the proceedings
  13. Got a hospital appointment letter from Kings today about an appointment for last February. Got the ring form a coffee mug on it , could have been in someone else's house, I suppose.
  14. Great tits nesting in the guttering
  15. Lynne

    Postage stamps

    Thanks, IlonaM
  16. I've just discovered that you can use the old ones till the end of July. They seem to have that quiet, or have I been unobservant. Of course, you can't do anything simple like taking them to a post office to exchange
  17. I thought it was deteriorating last year, before, but Sainsburys DKH has got even worse. Two staff,as far as I could see, this morning so anyone, i.e nearly everyone, who needed help with scanning items had to wait for quite some time. I found one product scanned in as more expensive than the shelf ticket, which is illegal, I believe. Could any one alter my bill? No. Their losses to shoplifters must be huge
  18. I always have trouble getting my prescription filled at Lloyds, but, to be fair, some of it has turned out to be the GPs fault. There doesn't seem anywhere you can totally rely on.
  19. Bought a dustpan and brush from Poundland - broke the first time we used it
  20. And they've put in plastic grass
  21. We're getting large numbers of magpies too, far more than ever before. This may be a reason why we have far fewer small birds in out garden. Or this could be because the new neighbours cut down all the old apple trees when they moved in (sigh)
  22. The "parmacy" was the product of annoyance having just made my 6th trip and still failing to get my prescription completed there. My record is 10 trips, though the GP practice was probably to blame for a couple of them. Still. exercise is good for you, they say. I'm not sure about stress and frustration.
  23. Can anyone recommend a pharmacy that is slightly less useless than Lloyds on North X Rd?
  24. Sorry, Rapunzel. Our underpinning was about 20 years before
  25. Aviva has insured our underpinned house. They wanted a survey beforehand, but no trouble after that. A lot cheaper than the original insurers.
