  1. SYL has other business interests( aside from the ?100k from his backers) - including tanning shops. Up these with market stalls and flower shops in terms of being a useful business for... whatever. I am sure you can join the dots
  2. kill this awful thread with the fire of gammon fury
  3. if its so good, then why are you spamming it rather than keeping it to yourself boy ?
  4. it gives pedants a reason to get up and fill their idle days. Consider it a selfless community act
  5. The political system in this country is unfit for purpose- what we see unfolding before us is like watching an autopsy- except this badly stitched corpse will jump up and walk around as soon as the time is right. And there will be less connection with the masses than before as they turn their backs on the whole flawed process out of disgust and apathy This is exactly what is wanted, if not exactly planned that way, the reinforcemnt of the political class and the justification for their continued existance. We have this weeks farce of carpet bagging libdems vote absentees, whose only skill seems to be jumping ship to whatever cause they will think will secure their tenancy. We dont have the grand ecoles here in the UK - producing trained beaurocrats- we have public schools and PPE at oxford producing unskilled beaurocrats who are doing it, for want of better words, 'cos they have fuck all else to do and fancy a bash at poltics- got to be better than working or spending your time at drones with your feckless eton cohort isnt it? we have more Eton and Ovbridge in the past few years cabinets that we did a hundred years ago. How is that progress? brexit was a flawed idea, badly pitched and is not about europe at all , it is about the continuity of power - their power . wherther it goes well, middling or badly, the same parsites will be running the show at the end of it
  6. this is a thread worth watching. keep us updated. I am on the edge of seat
  7. Not sure why every single animal related thread on here must always reference the famed cat killer.
  8. EU gravy table
  9. there is no principle at stake here except some analogue of a dr. strangelove plan for self preservation and the procreation of the species in their own selfish likeness. No one here has the good of the people of this country at heart. laid bare before us - but will we take note or dismiss is as more theatre and turn our back on further political involvement? The rats in my shed have more honour than these people
  10. opportunistic louse will reappear when he spots another opening

They generally work best in one room with the doors closed to maximise impact. They can be set to hit a certain temp and then finish to save energy.if you want to cool a house with one , you are wasting your time they have their use and when used correctly, make a massive difference.
  12. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jul/06/boris-johnson-david-cameron-meeting-chequers-summit-brexit men who conspired to break the country for their own ends agree that the country is broken what a time to be alive
  13. It is a cross i have to bear
  14. It was the russians, this is not really moot, despite the dots being joined by conspiracists. Its a message, delivered by the means of grim performance art. it isnt a messsage directly however to the UKG, this is a secondary issue- it is also message for the home audience about betrayal and reach. It is directly aimed to the Russian expat community here- those that still have favour and hold Vlad the poisoners assets. His wealth is loosely estimated to be hundred of billions, none of it in his own name. Its a crass slavic re-enactment of the horse head in the bed scene if would wanted to express it in digestable popular culture terms. things are are rarely as complex as they may look.
  15. no cavalry but calvary
  16. labour are as concerned with self preservation as the others. different tie, same outlook
  17. there are plenty of ways to remove someone from the scene. This was not espionage. Things have changed in that field beyond all recognition in the past 2 decades. Smiley is dead and buried. This was theatre with a global audience. Mao may have been 80/20 but was 100 on this one. think.

  19. You should care, wehether you like it or not.
  20. People cannot afford to move. Young people cannot afford to buy. It is the buy to let market that pushed prices so high by creating demand over supply. Buy to let is at last becoming less attractive which is a good thing for everyone who cannot afford a home to live in - let alone a second place to rent out. It is terrible when people have negative equity, but I am not sure that is happening yet. People have very short memories - in the late 1980s/early 90's prices fell by over 25%. Another readjustment is probably happening now - and the younger generations will be greatful.
  21. Have you considered an au pair? This was how we survived for many years and the children were grateful that they could come home after school - or go the the park, or have play dates or do swimming lessons etc. An au pair really gives your family some breathing space.
  22. having an asset that is always assumed to increase in value is quite peculiar - most things do the opposite during their lifetime. But yes, one you are in the system &assuming normal services continues, then price/ value is relative - as difficult as it can be to take this on board.
  23. Outliers aside, UK housing broadly moves in the same direction, if you know where you are moving to, then surely it is not massively outrageous to take this into account? if you get less here, then the chances are you will pay less there. Talk of risking losing out heavily - assuming you are in the system and not moving to Chelsea or a sink hole estate in Middlesboro - does not make much sense does it ? I may be dismissed by the foolish and vindictive poltroons with a grudge, but I am rarely wrong.
