SE22 Low pressure or no water Low pressure or no water Last updated Monday 5th November 2018 - 05:10. Our teams have successfully completed the repair and are now in the process of putting the repaired pipe back into use. Customers in the area will notice lower pressure than normal, but this will slowly increase as the water pressure builds up in the area. If you are in a flat or high rise building, it will take slightly longer to build up and return to normal. If your water is cloudy, this is quite normal following our repairs but it's best to run your cold kitchen tap for a few minutes once your water is back on. To find out more visit our help page here - https://www.thameswater.co.uk/help-and-advice/water-quality/cloudy-water Should you require bottled water, it remains available for collection from 08:30hrs at the below location: Straker's Road, SE15 3UA Click here to view on map Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. Hi DaveHew, Just wondering if you can grow some balls and go and have a meeting with the manager to discuss and solve the problem instead of relying on a unreliable neighbours or making ridiculous statements, and yes there were problems when it was called the mag ( I was a regular customer so I know ) As for BigED the freedom of information works both ways ie, ( please list details of all complaints to ) and to imply that customers of the patch are all untame-able urban noise-bandits is rather insulting especially as I am a refined urban bandit, which just gave me an idea for a quote for a t-shirt for you, it will read.. ( I am the ED nosey bandit ) so please state size and colour and cup size if required, oh and address or shall I get that from the freedom of information..? Yours lovingly, Duke... A customer of the Patch and other fine establishments of ED.

Wasteful & pointless resurfacing of East Dulwich roads?
duke replied to Heart108's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I am very happy with the recent road and footpath resurfacing in Upland Road. After living here in Upland Road for 17 years its very nice to see them spending money to improve the area. Its sad that people have to be anti-government and/or jealous that their road hasn't been done in order to respond with negative remarks, surely its better to show more appreciation for the work they have done in order to encourage them to resurface more roads and footpaths in the area regardless of what politician they support or road they live in..? Oh look, the suns out..! looks like its going to be a nice day.. -
Waitrose or M&S TYPE supermarket - do we want one on LL?
duke replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Waitrose or M&S, Yes please, To see a higher quality of food, and a far healthier in my experience than Iceland, Tesco, Co-op and Sainsbury`s, you may think that the healthier option from Waitrose or M&S might be more expensive than the local independent shops, you would be wrong. The only competition would be from the local shops claiming to sell healthier or a higher quality, but at higher prices! Ocado, is for those people who dont have time to shop? I would like to shop at the independents but I dont have deep pockets to indulge them, As for Co-op, Tesco`s, and Sainsbury`s its simply a matter of price and convenience, Sainsbury`s having both (parking!) Iceland, I never buy frozen! Healthy competition and choice is for everyone, and not to be dictated to by others !!!!!!! As for the site, yes the police station would be a good spot, but then it need not have to be on LL, only near? So my vote is YES. -
This Card Scam is Traveling the UK. London could be next, if not already here? WILTSHIRE POLICE Keeping you informed Swindon Police Station Gablecross Shrivenham Road South Marston Swindon Wiltshire SN3 4RB Telephone: 0845 408 7000 Hi all, This has been passed on via another Force area through our own Fraud Department In Wiltshire Constabulary, and it is a very convincing SCAM. We have been asked to disseminate the information as widely and was quickly as we can through Neighbourhood Watch, School Safe and others. This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the information, except the one piece they want. Note, the callers do not ask for your card number; they already have it. This information is worth reading. By understanding how the VISA & MasterCard Telephone Credit Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared to protect yourself.. One of our employees was called on Wednesday from "VISA", and I was called on Thursday from "MasterCard". The scam works like this: Person calling says, "This is (name), and I'm calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My badge number is 12460. Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern, and I'm calling to verify. This would be on your VISA card which was issued by (name of bank) did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketing Device for ?497.99 from a Marketing company based in London ?" When you say "No", the caller continues with, "Then we will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges range from ?297 to ?497, just under the ?500 purchase pattern that flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be sent to (gives you your address), is that correct?" You say "yes". The caller continues - "I will be starting a fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the 0800 number listed on the back of your card (0800-VISA) and ask for Security. You will need to refer to this Control Number. The caller then gives you a 6 digit number. "Do you need me to read it again?" Here's the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works the caller then says, "I need to verify you are in possession of your card." He'll ask you to "turn your card over and look for some numbers." There are 7 numbers; the first 4 are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security numbers that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are the numbers you sometimes use to make Internet purchases to prove you have the card. The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him. After you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he'll say, "That is correct, I just needed to verify that the card has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your card. Do you have any other questions?" After you say, "No," the caller then thanks you and states, "Don't hesitate to call back if you do", and hangs up You actually say very little, and they never ask for or tell you the Card number . But after we were called on Wednesday, we called back within 20 minutes to ask a question. Are we glad we did! The REAL VISA Security Department told us it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase of ?497.99 was charged to our card. Long story - short - we made a real fraud report and closed the VISA account. VISA is reissuing us a new number. What the scammers want is the 3-digit PIN number on the back of the card. Don't give it to them . Instead, tell them you'll call VISA or MasterCard directly for verification of their conversation. The real VISA told us that they will never ask for anything on the card as they already know the information since they issued the card! If you give the scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you're receiving a credit. However, by the time you get your statement you'll see charges for purchases you didn't make, and by then it's almost too late and/or more difficult to actually file a fraud report. What makes this more remarkable is that on Thursday, I got a call from a "Jason Richardson of MasterCard" with a word-for-word repeat of the VISA scam. This time I didn't let him finish I hung up! We filed a police report, as instructed by VISA. The police said they are taking several of these reports daily! They also urged us to tell everybody we know that this scam is happening . Please pass this on to your family and friends.. By informing each other, we protect each other.

You seem to be struggling for excuse's. Why should anyone have to cross the road to avoid your inconsideration. A large heat resistant clear screen is a simple answer, as it would show that you care about passing public including children, and you would also be less likely to be sued for hot spitting fat. ( I am sure your profits would allow for that, and I believe its tax deductible too?)

I think that there are no available customers or very few to extend Friday trading, the small number of traders that stall on Fridays are established and have their own limited amount of customers to make it worth while opening for them, any more traders would be trial and error on there part to see if they could do any business, which could be messy!! As for Saturdays extra stalls would be welcomed, as healthy competition should be encouraged not outlawed. Week days Mon-Thurs there are no customers for a Market, the same with Sundays and totally unfair to the people who live their, ( I live much further back ) And North Cross Road should be closed on Saturdays to all traffic including cyclists, and made a one way road on other days, ending at lordship Lane, (so there is no entry from Lordship Lane into North Cross Road) or do we have to wait until some one is killed or seriously injured before the council take action as usual? Also some of the side roads off North Cross Road should also be made one way from NCR which should help with parking for residents!.
