  1. Hi Every school should have a 'sensitive' SEN department but it so often comes down to the individual SENDCo or Inclusion team. DCD can be successfully accommodated in schools. Talk to the SENDCos in your preferred schools and share your concerns. Your son's diagnostic report should also include recommendations you can share with the Inclusion teams. Good luck. Jane
  2. With so many wonderful people volunteering to help, guidance is now perhaps to go through Scrub Hub https://scrubhub.org.uk/ Stay safe. And thank you.
  3. Thank you so much. I've sent you a PM.
  4. A friend who works for the NHS asked if I could make scrubs but sadly I don't have a sewing machine. (It's part of the initiative For the Love of Scrubs.) I said I'd mention it on the Forum in case anyone can help make scrubs, she said basically out of sheets and there are videos online that suggest how to do it. If you want more information or to make some please message me and I'll put you in touch with her re: questions/collection etc. Thanks everyone. Stay safe. Jane
  5. Another recommendation for Colin. He came to fix our fences - quick, competitive quote, friendly and done two days later. Thanks Colin. Highly recommended. Jane
  6. Hi Lochie Year 3 is often the year when children who have been experiencing difficulties and managing them with some strategies to help them, begin to run out of ideas! I am a local specialist teacher, assessor and ex-SENCo and work privately with local children and teenagers with a range of Specific Learning Difficulties including dyslexia. I also train teachers how to help these children in class. The systems - and there are many processes - are annoyingly complex! PM me if you want to chat. Thanks and good luck. Jane
  7. Wanted: a local(ish) venue for my daughter's 18th birthday party around middle of December. Must be reasonably priced or ideally free. Everywhere I've tried is already booked! Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thank you. Jane
  8. Dulwich Diverter sounds interesting. I don't know the Peckham Peculiar. When will the DD be published and how do we get a copy? Thanks and good luck with your venture... Jane
  9. It would be a shame to limit dog walking areas in Peckham park. There already exist areas where dogs are not allowed. Irresponsible dog owners don't really care either way. Is there any actual research or evidence to suggest Peckham Park is a growing problem area? Some detail and consultation would be great. A policy might be useful too eg depending on size/average attendance in X park, X amount of the park will be made available to dogs ... etc. Jane (and Bobby the dog)
