Roadworks/bus diversion Rye Lane
Terry Thomas esq replied to Twirly's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
the council tried removing cars a few years ago (the rising bollard scheme) and that failed (and cost a small fortune in the process) Why not make Rye lane one way going north (towards the Library) from Hannover Park and also south (towards the Rye) also from Hannover Park at the same time (much as it is now with the roadworks) Loadng bays can then be built into the road (as currently outside Smiths) and also a better predestrian link to Rye Lane from the temporary stop currently in place (maybe extend the shops along the road to the stop or a market like North Cross) Just a thought rather then peanilisng the traders who need to have goods delivered -
Hi James Can you provide an update on the 'loading bay' on Barry Road outside the new development (the mews) The loading bay appeared to be suspended during building works, and it is now causing problems on Barry Road and surrounding streets with lorries unable to use it (cars parked in it as the sign is missing) The main problem I have seen recently was a lorry parked in the narrow section of the crossing to unload bacause there wasn't anywhere else to stop (okay he should not have stopped there but...) this caused problems for other motorists and the buses along Barry Road. Any update would be welcome

I say I totally disagree with that statement Why only the other day I was talking to a lovely lady from Russia who insists that I am going to be her "daddy" and she will come over and marry me, but frightfully awkward, the poor sausage hasn't a bean Lucky for her I had a few pennies saved up and sent over ?2,000 for her ticket and passport Now how is that a waste of my time ? What what !

The old Jallopy was playing hard ball with me this weekend, supercharger or something dashed technical, and I had to board one of those jolly old buses joined to another in the middle. can anyone explain why the dashed bounder driving the front one decided to stop early and kick myself and some jolly ladies off without warning. The Cads must be having some sort of jolly old joke at our expense as another one did it again later in the day Whats their game, as it is frightfully annoying what Must dash got champagne on ice in the Savoy and a frisky filly to trot
