  1. I don't see that Matthew has done anything wrong, similar postings have been posted previoulsy which many found amusing.
  2. Best game last night was Villareal v Bayer Leverkusen, the kid Rossi (who the Mnacs sold) is a player.

  5. Oh lordy! Jens is definitely back. Watch for some comic capers from our favourite German nut case.
  6. Good luck to the man whatever he's doing. Happy paddys day all.
  7. While I have no love for Ferguson and his charges, I find this all a little ridiculous. It has got to a stage where a amnger daren't speak his mind without fear of being charged. The refereeing during the game in question wasn't perfect and he has every right to speak out, as I would expect most managers to. However, while I have no sympathy with poor referees I also have little sympathy with managers who are happy to take advantage of poor decisions in their favour but rant when they don't go in their way. I guess its all about balance. Unless referees are brought to book when they turn in a poor performance, I can't see things changing. I also have to say I don't believe that these decisions always balance themselves out over the course of a season as some pundits are so keen on telling us.

  12. My father died a few years ago and we wanted to bury him in the cemetry nearest to his home which is in Brockely, the nearest cemetry being Brenchley Gardens. We contacted Southwark Council and were advised that as he was a resident of Lewisham rather than Southwark, the burial plot would cost 3 times the cost for residents, which would mean having to pay ?7500 just for the burial plot. I thought this was outrageeous as he lived a few hundred yards from Brenchley Gardens. This may or may not be something you want to take into consideration.

  15. Bayern v Inter was a cracking game which ebbed and flowed from start to finish, Inter winning at the death with a well worked goal. They are the dark horses in my book who may yet retain the trophy, but its hard to see past Barca.

And I've not said otherwise at any time. I think you'll also find I said Carragher should have walked, Rafael should have also walked in that game, lest we forget.

On the contrary ,its not me that got hot under the collar following THAT game, and accusing all and sundry of having no sympathy after Nannys histrionics, nor did I continue with it for the best part of the following week. And the fact that he's available proves just how ridiculous and unjustified all the rolling around was. This after statements that he would be out until April following THAT challenge.
  20. My previous post was copied from the BBC website. The point I was trying to highlight was how fickle players can be, especially after the fuss surrounding the Carragher tackle.
  21. Manchester United are facing a battle to keep Nani, with the Portuguese winger telling close friends he is considering a new challenge after the Red Devils rejected his request to discuss a new contract and wage rise. The 24-year-old is only 12 months into a new four-year contract. Full story: the Sun
  22. After all the crap flying around on here after Nanny nearly died on the pitch after being mortally wounded, we should all be glad that he has risen, Christ like, and is able to play football again. Lordy, lordy its a miracle.
  23. All that fuss for nothing.
