Grouse of the day - rubber bands

I'm so glad to see other people have noticed the red rubber bands on the pavement! Everyday there used to be two fresh ones on our front path and so a while ago I started piling them up (a bit sad I know) on the doorstop as a little message to the postie. I'm not sure he (or she) noticed or cared but I have to say I haven't seen them return for a while, or maybe we don't get enough post to warrant bundles! -
Simple and done well it would be Tom! (Or at least I hope so). That's the whole lovely point of Majorcan food: fresh, simple and healthy ('tho lots of olive oil). If only there was an available place for rent/sale (sigh...). Might check out the possibility of a market stall in the meantime. The foodie stalls always seem to have the longest queues on Saturdays. Does anyone know how it works? I mean, getting a stall?

We tried out the Gowlett quiz last night. Very enjoyable evening despite the bloomin' bearded ones winning. Given that one of the categories was all about 'I'm a celebrity ... ', they certainly have a wide range of knowledge! Best pizzas ever tasted in this country I'd say and v nice atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff too. Thanks guys.

We went to the Herne on Saturday. Great food, friendly staff and best of all, no smoking at all - not so good for my boyf as he'd just unwittingly lit up - but nice waitress explained they're getting used to next summer's non-smoking policy. Definitely a plus point I'd say.

ALL of them? Not what is says on their website. So why so do many of the empty shops look so sad and neglected? (and have done for a while).

Thanks for feedback. North Cross would be fantastic but I think the rental prices there might be even higher than at the 'right' end of Lordship Lane. Will continue with my plans ... you saw it here first!
