That's why pubs that just sell bitter with a few peanuts in a bowl on the bar have gone the way of the plague, rag and bone men and trams.

I think we all realise that it is happening. We've then debated the subject ad nauseam in detail, from multiple angles and life perspectives. The question is how much more value can you wring out of it? Apart from just using it as blow in bait for your own amusement of course. Dig deep.
The commonality with both angles Fox is that they both wholly negative approaches. As opposed to Jeremy's post above which is open minded and positive. A bit of realism is fine. But for the sane 90% on here, repetitive debate on the ills of gentrification is dull. Change the record.
Rumour has it, from my man on the inside, that firearms are routinely discharged in certain closed parks on bonfire night in Peckham surrounds by way of practice. Feel free to add to this urban myth as you see fit.

I can't see it stopping. Only today news comes in to me that is ripe material for a Louisa/Fox gentrification bore-off thread. They won't be able to resist more gastorification debate (clue btw) of a well worn locals haunt that neither of them have actually been into for years.... Just change the record?
Until recently the 40 bus used to take 35 to 40 mins to the City leaving LL before about 7.15am. Last month has been an hour most mornings and so I've been getting the train or.....walking! There's a great walking route up quiet leafy roads past Rye Lane > Dunton Road> Tower Bridge that takes 1 he 25 mins if you're brisk. It's great when the weather is this nice, less dangerous than cycling and rather energising too.
You can wind this one up quite nicely with a general point...that if there is someone elderly or frail on your street then it's a reminder to keep a look out for them. Simon - I'm sorry for your loss and the circumstances.

You have to wonder if today's resignation was sparked by something else the Feds have just found under a rock. If so he's jumping before the shit hits the fan. Entirely in keeping with the abhorrent vain $d ??$ that he is.
The best thing they ever removed from this forum was the "Hide Poster" option. You could activate it for anyone and -behold!- otherwise unreadable threads were cleared of dross.
Fox - nobody is bullying you. It's simple. You and Louisa have it all in your power* to bring more to this forum than the constant repetition of veiled gentrification critique that so many (old ED residents and new) have had enough of. *anything else at all would be welcome and would make things more readable for all. You have both failed to acknowledge my earlier offer and so I will double it - ?200 split between charities of your choice if you can both resist any more gentrification change related topics /trolling for at least the next 6 months...
