  1. Would make a great Christmas present. Comes with £200's worth of unused accessories (see below). The saddle, tyres, breaks, gears and chain are all in like-new condition as it's done no mileage. This model features H-type handle-bars – which stands for 'high' – ideal for upright cycling, no more hunching over the bike! The 6 is the name is the 6 speeds, and the L for mudguards. Was bought new June 2020 and only ridden 2 or 3 times around the block to test it before it was put into storage in the garage. Folds down to a portable size so can be carried, taken on to public transport or put in the car. The frame has a some cosmetic scratches – see photos – these are from where things have caught / rubbed against it in storage. Includes handbook. Can provide proof of ownership. Features; 6 gears Adjustable saddle H-type handlebar Mini hand-pump Front and rear mudguards Brompton puncture resistant tyres Folding pedals Official Brompton accessories, all unopened (retail £ shown); -Metro M messenger bag (£120) Front carrier block (£20) Endura x Brompton London Windproof Gloves (£45) Cateye rapid mini saddle-mounted light (£25) £1,050 Only selling as it's sitting there unused, which is a shame when someone else could be making use of it.
  2. In the 5 times we've needed to use Southwark Planning across 2 different properties, we've found them to be slow and and very hit and miss. Results very much depend on how busy they are generally, and who gets assigned to your application. They also seem to be much more 'flexible' with business applications, and more picky with residential ones. Your mileage may vary. My main piece of advice would be to find similar properties in the immediate area that have loft conversions already, and include those in the supporting documentation as examples of precedents near you to help yours through. We're also a corner plot (and end-of-terrace - double whammy) and though we wanted to do a loft conversion (one of the reasons we bought the house before knew) we ended up not putting in permission when we heard Southwark is trying to preserve the roof type on the Victorian house in our area (London / butterfly roof). Several other neighbours have tried, but all ended up withdrawing when it became clear it wasn't going to happen. Might be worth seeing if you can speak with the someone in Planning. If you do find one that's willing and knowledgeable, they'll be able to tell you if you're very likely to not get it based on the house, your location, your plan, which could save you a chunk of change. But they'll also be very clear that they can't make any promises to you either way without full planning being put in.
  3. Russell had done work for us in the past, but he said he was thinking on winding things up at one point. I got in touch again about a job late 2021, but never heard back, so i assume maybe he did?
  4. The photo in their planning application suggest maybe a new one is expected at some stage, maybe when weather's better?
  5. Found!
  6. You could try one of the many white (pink, brown, green etc) noise apps on the app stores. They’re very good at masking other noises (people use them often for tinnitus). They can take a bit of getting used to but they do help.
  7. It's our favourite pizza place in East Dulwich, quick, reasonably priced and the pizza's are great. It's definitely not in the vein of Dominoes, it's absolutely nothing like it in fact, pizzas are far nicer. Plus it's an independent business, with Italian staff that are friendly and welcoming. You won't get a more Italian pizza in East Dulwich.
  8. Apparently going to be a place called "Love Dulwich" - plans here. Be sad to see it go, itmight not have had the best food overall, it did some great dishes and was always good value. I think it was one of the first places we went to when we moved into the area 15+ years ago.
  9. I used to be with DMC Crystal Palace Road, and it's much easier getting an appointment at Tessa Jowell Centre than it ever was there.
  10. Of course, but when a next day paid delivery takes 3 weeks to arrive, by that point those very same business are often having to reship items for customers and then chase Royal Mail for compensation, which costs them time and money too. My glasses broke recently so ordered new ones online with next day delivery, and they took a month to arrive during which i had to get through with glasses with one lens!
  11. "Royal Mail asks to stop Saturday letter deliveries"... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-63660320 This would be a blow, Saturday is quite often the day they seem to bulk deliver to us.
  12. We got 6 issues of a weekly magazine of our daughter's arrive today. The issues are dated early September through to mid/late October. They may be clearing the old stuff, but clearly newer stuff is backing up as they do, as the magazine is still 3 weeks behind. It's a cheek that they still call it a postal "service" tbh. As for packages, I've had to stop ordering anything from anyone who only uses Royal Mail. Packages don't turn up and are un-trackable – they're often not even marked as delivered when they finally are!
  13. Hi there I used to be on Three, i gave up on them around 2018. Whilst mobile calls were fine, mobile data was not, with many things simply not loading because of it. Either too many customers in the area, or not enough signal, i don't know. But no point paying for infinite data if nothing ever downloads. That was 4 years ago - what's Three like around here these days? Do people have any complaints about Three's voice and data coverage around East and West Dulwich, Denmark Hill areas? Rob
  14. Definitely not trolling, and if you want to comment, today's the deadline. https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/caseDetails.do?action=dispatch&keyVal=RH0E8AKB06900&caseType=BuildingControl "22/INC/01189 | Proposed internal alterations and fit out works to an existing retail unit to create a Poundland Store" "22/AP/2904 | New illuminated fascia signage above shopfront in existing signage zone" "22/AP/2903 | Replacement of shopfront and fascia sign"
