  1. I feel sorry for the dog (If it`s still there :-S) I saw it attached to one of them and it was a total wreck. Poor thing was trying to get away and was jumping all over the place (Not that I blame it, poor thing)
  2. This one has got to be amongst one of the best/worst for getting into your head and staying there all day or night :)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqBa7eay6Fo
  3. Not at all, it was the way you choose to read it. ALL DOGS ARE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS Not just the ones you don`t happen to like!

  5. So, as an Alsation owner you will know what it`s like for the whole breed to called nervous, vicious and untrustworthy ( A very quick google of Alsation attacks of which there are quite a few) When in fact your own personal experience tells you it isn`t true. As not every Stafford owner let their dogs roam free and most are responsible dog owners, is it ok for me to say that all Alsations should not be allowed a free run because I am very nervous about the fact that they could "turn" at any moment? As for your ridiculous comment: You know very well that within the whole of this discussion I have been talking about responsibilty. Whether you are a parent or a dog owner, I never compared those statements in the same context, You did. Yes, ALL dogs should be on a lead when near other people (Child or Adult) which is why there are designated areas for dogs to freerun. Yet again, it is the dog that is blamed and not the owner. What do you suggest is done regarding all the irresponible OWNERS?
  6. I think you choosing to single out certain breed owners shows a lot more about your fears and not necessarily other peoples. EVERY SINGLE DOG OWNER should show social responsibility. As for having dogs in urban area`s, its been happening for years. Considering how many people/dogs there are in our cities, all in all apart from the few incidents that are heard of (and everyone of them just as important and tragic as any others) things seem to tick along quite nicely. Not everyone is an animal lover and we are all entitled to ours opinion, not everyone wants to have children but the people who choose to also need to show a social responsibility and thats ALL parents ;-) Dulwich_ Park_ Fairy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You feel totally uncomfortable with irresponsible > dog owners some of which may happen to own a form > or terrier. 7. Not at all, My point being there are more Stafford crosses out there than pure bred Staffies. Your point being, You feel totally uncomfortable with irresponsible dog owners some of which may happen to own a form or terrier. I think we all agree that yet again it`s the owners total ignorance, not the dog. It`s just a pity that some people see no further than their fears.

  9. I think you may be a little bit confused Dulwich Fairy. A pitball and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier are two totally different types of dog. Although they may both be terriers they are totally different to each other in size and stature. This is where the Staffords problem`s begin. They have been cross breed with so many other breeds that they are no longer recognised by the non terrier loving humans of this world or the untrained eye. It`s only peoples narrow mindedness or ignorance of the facts who think like that >:D<
  10. Mandy, I am so sorry to hear about your little girl and I hope this dog and its owner will be dealt with A.S.A.P What makes me sad is the fact that she will more than likely be petrified of all dogs for the foreseeable future and that isn`t very nice for anyone, Let alone a child. You did say you think it was a stafford, is there anyway you can confirm this as I would hate for yet another Sterotypical thread regarding Staffords.I.E "There are some revolting chavs about (the owners of dogs like this are always chavs)"or "I know that owners of these dogs say that, with the right training, they can be great pets I find it hard to believe" Yes unfortunately, There are a lot of very sick, irresponsible people out there (amongst them a lot of young males) who will own a Stafford for a few months as "fashion" statement and either abandon it or use it as a means of gaining "respect" or even worse as a form of controlled violence during various illegal activities. There are also a lot of people who own Staffords because they are such a lovely breed of dog and history (and a bit of research) will show you that they have a great reputation for being a friendly, family dog. Unfortunately there are a lot of Staffords in rescue centre`s because the novelty wears off pretty quickly and at the end of the day a lot of them haven`t had a good start in life, If they are to aggresive to be rehomed a lot of charities would never leave them in rescue centres as it would be kinder to the dog to put it to sleep. ANY dog can bite, ANY dog can attack, ANY dog untrained and off of a lead can do damage. YES whatever breed this particular dog is at no point should there be any hesitation in destroying it immediately, it`s disgusting that the police haven`t done a thing. Please remember a dog only knows what it is taught and sadly that sometimes is all the wrong things and the reflection should be on the ignorant owner, not the breed.
  11. Have a lovely day Steph >:D< Hope you will be putting your feet up later and taking it easy :))
  12. Sorry to hear your bad news PGC, never easy when you loose something you care about :'(
  13. Big Hugs for Mum >:D< Big pat on the back and a hearty "Well done" for the lovely Tillie Junior :)-D Tillie I know you are very proud and also must be a little bit sad, excited, scared, happy and lots of other things in varying degrees each and every hour of the day but you are such a fantastic Mum that I`m sure Tilly Junior is nothing short of very well prepared (tu) P.S. I have a Daughter that you can borrow free of charge if you need a stand in ;-) XXXXXXX
  14. Roughly 4 months ago, there were at least 6 of these wardens and at least the same number of police officers outside Bermondsey tube station giving out fines to those who had to have their last cigarette before boarding a tube. It was 8am and they made a killing that day, pity the police weren`t out in the street doing something more important :'(
  15. I live in Crawthew Grove and am also opposed to the idea of a CPZ. I pay more than enough in road tax to enable me to park on my street and would even continue to put up with Foxton`s mini`s rather than pay for a permit. Saturday`s are always busier than during the week and the CPZ wouldn`t even be inforce then! Maybe you should concentrate your efforts into how many spaces those little green Mini`s take up day in and day out, that would leave lots of spaces ;-) I have also tried to leave a comment opposing a CPZ on your website which doesn`t seem to be working properly at the present time.
  16. I`m proud to be an Aquarian to >:D

  19. Good luck for tonight Chav, I`m sure your girls will be as proud as they always are of their Mum, Go get em girl!>:D
  20. Is anyone any wiser as to what is going on in there. Seems like the workmen have started in the tyre shop (?)
  21. Thanks Lizzy, Just spat my coffee all over the keyboard but by god was it worth it >:D
  22. You can watch a catchup clip. not the same I know but...... :-S http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/spooks/episodeguide.shtml
  23. OMG!!!!! I think you are talking about "Dennis" The house used to really give off a pungent smell in the summer as he had lots of different dogs in there and used to always be in Safeway in his shorts and sandals buying dog food. Totally harmless guy who loved the company of dogs more than humans. I heard he had been moved into sheltered accomodation and wasn`t short of a few bob, but you know what rumours are like ;-) Does anyone remember the homeless man who used to sit outside the post office in Rye lane, His hair and beard had become matted together and he used to wrap them around his face in the winter? Childhood memories are made of such strange things:)
  24. I used to see her all the time when I lived in Camberwell. The first time my Mum saw her she almost ran away and left my Daughter in the pram on the pavement :-S Does anyone recall how she spoke? I recently bumped into a woman in Grove Lane who asked if I had any chocolate or sweets as she was diabetic and need some sugar. She had the same round face as the White lady and was what looked like in her late 50`s and was suffering from what looked like Vitiligo. It did make me think that maybe it was her and the skin problem (as well as a whatever else led to her condition) was the reason for all the make up?
  25. Excellent , Thank you. >:D:D
