I totally disagree with the decision to remove the fence, it`s a no win situation for both children and dogs. Could we also suggest that the same gates as used in the dog free area, are installed when and if we ever have another fence re-instated. One of the problem`s with the old area for dog owners was the fact that the gates were always left open which meant that the "dog free" area was used as it was more secure. Being next to a main road is not ideal for children or dogs, simple measures would make the world a happier place :)

Same here, Checked my account online and found 3 transactions made in India. Called Abbey and was told that there had been lots of attempts starting on 9th August (account flagged and no phone call from Abbey) they finally got a total of ?210 out 12th August. I have made a complaint to Abbey as if they had called me on the 9th, my account wouldn`t now be ?200 lighter :(Second time for me this month, Other debit card used earlier this week) I don` want a third one thank you! Has it only been Debit cards affected as I use my credit card mainly and hope that won`t be next.

Dog in bad condition - anyone else seen it on Lordship Lane?!
Mscrawthew replied to cab's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The dog you are talking about doesn`t have open sores at all. The dog is getting on in years and is also looked after by the owners Daughter who visits a lot. The dog has been his constant companion for the last 12 years, The owner or his Daughter would not neglect the dog. He did give him a haircut a little while back and the dogs coat probably looks strange because it was a bit patchy and some bits were longer than others. -
Didn`t see that one but even so, its worth another exposure :)-D

I got to admit this made me shed a tear :-$

Put your glasses on Cate, where did I say it was the only time I had ever used it? OK maybe a "recently" could have been shoved in there. Blimey cate, are you always quite so literal?
-
:-$ whoops, Sorry I meant 7th and 8th August! It was the only time I had used it apart from a Nationwide cashpoint. Both times it was in the same LL supermarket :-S
-
Hi Tillie, Hope you are well :)-D I only had ?46 in my account, didn`t stop the account going overdrawn though :'(
-
I have also joint the growing list of forumites who have had a card "compromised" (If there are this many on here, How many to add who never use the forum?) I very rarely use my card apart from paying in at a Nationwide but surprise, surprise it has only been used twice 16th and 29th July and that was in the above mentioned supermarket in LL. My card was used in Malaysia 7th and 8th July 4 attempts and 2 sucesses, total of ?185.
