  3. Hi there all pregnant ladies and new mums. Having recently heard some cracking baby/pregnancy brain stories recently (I have a few of my own too!), I'm putting all the best ones together on a website and eventually, will compile a book. If you would like to be involved, I'd love to hear from you! Anything from 1-liners to full stories.... Please check me out on twitter as @preggersmcgee as well as the website (not much there yet, but there will be!) www.babybrain.moonfruit.com or simply PM me. THanks very very much! Helena
  4. Thank you, yes I have now checked on ebay and am watching a few now.. I'm just so impatient, even though I have 3 months to go!
  5. Hi All, Just got a second hand bugaboo bee (2008 model) and am on the hunt for a cocoon-type thing for a newborn. The bugaboo ones are crazily expensive. Does anyone know of another brand that does the same job for less cash? Thanks!
  6. Thanks for the posts! This forum is awesome. Was wondering what was happening...
  7. Thanks so much, both of you. I now now where to start!!
  8. Hi all, I'm at the daunting stage of trying to pick a buggy for my as yet unborn first baby. We have the option of a second hand Bugaboo Gecko for about the same price as a Maclaren techno XLR but advice on any other buggy would also help! I need to walk the dog every day which means crossing grass and bumpy terrain. Can the Maclaren handle this well enough with those smaller wheels, or is Bugaboo a better option? Also, is it possible to have the infant/child facing you with a Maclaren like you can with a bugaboo? It doesn;t look like it, but I wanted to check a I like that feature a lot. THANKS For any help and advice! Helena
  9. HI Sue, Just in case Daisy doesn't get the message (new baby - not often on the computer) pls let me know and I;ll give her your instructions!

  13. I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I can't see any recent thread for it.. I'm soon to be a first time mum and feel totally overwhelmed about WHERE to start and importantly, WHEN to start looking for a good primary school for my daughter. Should she be on awaiting list already despite the fact that she hasn't been born, for example?! It's brilliant that there are so many schools around here, but I can't find any up to date advice about how good they are. I live on Upland road very near Goodrich. Any help gratefully received! Thanks
  14. Just seen this. Will check out the poster in the morning...
  15. There's a poster near me desperately looking for a black and white cat called Bitsy. Can you not upload the pics on your phone. Thanks for posting!
  16. Can someone please take it to a vet to check for a microchip? I will if I can find it!

  20. Police tape and what looks like forensics now. Yikes!
  21. Hi there, When to drink wine depends on so many things! I've been working with wine for the last few years, selling it, buying it and now running courses in it! Why don't you PM me with the details of your 4-5 bottles and I'll let you know what I think? I need as many of the following bits of info as possible: Year (vintage), Grape Variety, Appellation (place it comes from) and country.. and any other info on the label that you think would be useful! This is quite an old message, so I'll PM you as well... just moved to the area and am setting up my own wine events company. If you're interested, watch this space! www.winebird.co.uk
