  1. I think it's probably because of the burst pipe yesterday at the top of Upland/Lordship lane. Has anyone called Thames Water?
  2. Same problem here - top of Upland Road. There was a burst pipe at the top of the road that they were working on yesterday so it'll be that. Grr!!!
  3. Brilliant. Thanks everyone. I love this forum!
  4. I though the EDF would be the right place to ask! Any recommendations? Thanks all Helena
  5. Thank you so much for the offer - I've already been out and bought some though!
  6. Those will do. Thanks so much!
  7. Any help appreciated! Thank you...
  8. ...Formerly of Upland Road. I have some important post for you/her and no longer have the forwarding address. Thanks!
  9. Thanks people. I have found her!
  10. I have had a package delivered to my house for her. Thanks!
  11. I worried about this too. If you are very keen to labour and/or give birth in a pool as I am, I'd say just buy one and bring it with you. It will be worth not having to worry about reserving one! My midwife confirmed that you can do this. They're about ?120 odd brand new, but you can quite often find new unused ones on this forum for half the price or less.
  12. Just walked in the door from a 1 day course with Judith Flood at St Thomas's. I say go for it and if you can, do a course with her! There's nothing weirdy beardy about it at all. It's about releasing fear which equals a calmer, less painful delivery. She de-Americanises the Mongan method and makes it relevant to the UK to. I am so relaxed right now... :)
  13. Husband just cycled home from Soho (just got home at 6.15pm). Buses and trains running. Town looks normal/quiet. Same can be said for Camberwell and all of Lordship Lane. Shops are boarded up but lots of adults in the pubs (lots of middle aged blokes - good). Buses running up and down LL.
  14. Found her! Thank you person-who-posted-before. :)
  15. Cool - got that. Thanks
  16. I think she's probably a local girl and that someone has got the house number wrong. It's from a Mrs JL James mynamehere.. I am on Upland road, so this sounds like a good lead! I'll check it out... Thanks all
  17. I've just had a small parcel delivered for her - weirdly, at my address. Looks like a birthday gift. Can anyone help me find her? Thanks
  18. Yes, good to see you all! Are we going to attempt to bring menfolk next week? x
  19. More cravings I've heard about this morning: * Furniture polish * 17 Weetabix a day! * Frobscottle anyone? The fizzy drink where the bubbles go down instead of up in Roald Dahl's book The BFG. I always imagined how it tasted... and now I want it. Lots of it. Even though I've never tasted it. And it doesn't exist. That last one is mine. Weird.
  20. Hi Rachel, Yes, doing the yoga above Dulwich Therapy rooms on Weds mornings at 10am - I like it a lot. They also have a class on Mon eves I believe. Come along! Helena
  21. I have a cat litter box that has a cover. Took it downstairs to empty it and noticed it that it was so heavy, I could hardly carry it. I battled on and finally got it to the kitchen where I put it down. The cat then walked out of it. It hadn't even occurred to me that she might actually still be in it.
  22. Morning, baby brainers! Just thought I'd share the dream I just had. Not sure if it's just my own head or because I'm nearly 7 mths pregnant: I dreamed that my husband caught and cooked a 'Simpsons' style googley eyed fish for his boss. He had to serve it face down to hide the eyes. Meanwhile, I had gone off to run 5K for charity, only I'd forgotten my trainers and turned up in my wellies. I got a few hundred meters round, took them off, and then got distracted by a large dining table full of fruit and dough products. Graham Norton then started talking to me and comparing wellies as he had some nice ones in bright green. I then noticed that we were on a train. Getting off the train, I saw my husband dressed up in a cardboard suit shoving bin bags into a lorry. He said he wanted to 'do something for the community'. I berated him because we had guests at home waiting for him and I couldn't entertain them alone because I was painting THE SHOWER! Any ideas? Helena
  23. Loving it, ladies. Keep them coming! I'll be updating the site over the weekend. :) Helena
