Venue for a one year olds party!
beababies replied to Ruth_Baldock's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi everyone, If you're wanting some baby music at your party (in home or at any of the pubs above :) ), I teach a baby and toddler music class in East Dulwich which I can also come and do privately for birthday parties. Normally the structure follows my music class structure so we do some singing and dancing and playing instruments. I bring all my music things and it lasts an hour. Really it works best if the adults are all up for getting involved as well as it's more about you interacting with your child in a positive musical way and the children interacting with each other than everyone watching an "entertainer". If you have time why not come along to one of my classes to see if it's what you're looking for. They're drop in at the following times above soup dragon on lordship lane: Tues, Wed, Fri 3:30-4:30 Sat 10:30-11:30 Lot's of times when I do parties it's for children who come to the class and then they're familiar with the structure already and find it really special to have it in their homes so it could be nice if you have the chance to pop in for a class beforehand! My rate is very affordable, I'm available at short notice and I would be happy to adapt the class with your favourite songs if you'd like. Here is a recommendation from a fellow Forum user whose one year old's party I played at! "I'd just like to add that yesterday Bea (from the post above Beababies) hosted my 1 year old's birthday party at home. We did have a mixed age range of 7 months to 3 year olds present. Bea arrived on time and was really lovely and heaps of fun. She enquired up front which songs my child would enjoy and recognise and included them in her mix. Bea also brought some instruments and toys to encourage interaction and got all us mums up and singing and dancing too. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Bea and would happily ask her to come back again next year. Thanks Bea, you made our day very special." (http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,523481) Please do get in touch if you'd be interested, All the best, Bea -

hiya, Just a note to say thanks very much for all your support and to everyone who has either come out to my classes or expressed interest in coming since starting them up in East Dulwich a couple months ago! Due to the drop in nature of the classes, I'm starting up an e-mail mailing list in order to be able to send out any announcements regarding the classes. Whether you've come to the classes already or are interested in coming in the future and would like to be included in any announcements regarding class running times over the holidays, or any changes, etc, please do message me your e-mail and I'll add you to the mailing list! Thanks again, Bea x Beas Baby Bop Drop in music classes for babies and toddlers Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays 3:30-4:30 pm Saturdays 10:30-11:30 Family Natural Health centre above Soup Dragon 106 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich ?5

Hi guys, I run drop in music classes in East Dulwich that meet Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays from 3:30-4:30 pm and Saturdays from 10:30-11:30 am at the Family Natural Health centre above Soup Dragon at 106 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich. Up until a couple weeks ago we were also meeting on Monday afternoons but after 6 weeks of only one or two people in class on the Monday at 2:30, I've had to cancel it! Please do let me know if you think there's a need for a Monday time and we could try to start it back up again or else try a late morning class instead as I have a feeling the 2:30 time slot was a bit early in the afternoon for people with nap times! Also, Apenn made the spread sheet of the activity schedule, if you search for her name with Activity Schedule you should be able to find it! All the best, Bea x

hi again! Just a note to announce a couple things about my drop in class! 1. we ARE meeting this week as there has been some confusion over whether or not the classes continue through half term. They do! Tomorrow's class (Wednesday) however will sadly NOT be meeting as I had already agreed to cover a friend's baby music class up North and was unable to find cover for my class. Please spread the word that there will be NO WEDNESDAY CLASS this week (tomorrow) but that the other sessions will be meeting as usual (Friday afternoon and Saturday morning) and will continue as normal next week. Just to let you know I will not normally be canceling classes like this, they will always be ongoing and if I have to occasionally miss one there will be a very lovely cover teacher for me! 2. since the Saturday morning sessions have been quite quiet I'm going to try them at a slightly later time so as of this week we'll be meeting from 10:30 - 11:30, rather than 10-11, please spread the word! 3. So the schedule is as follows: this week NO WEDNESDAY CLASS, but other than that classes as normal at these times: Monday 2:30-3:30 Tuesday 3:30-4:30 Wednesday 3:30-4:30 Friday 3:30-4:30 Saturday 10:30-11:30 4. Just to clarify as there have been questions, there's NO NEED TO BOOK and class sizes are very small at the moment so no need to worry about if there's enough room, just come along! Come sing, dance and play percussion instruments with your baby in a relaxing, sociable, positive atmosphere! Babies and upwards including toddlers and older siblings are welcome so the classes are great for a mix of ages and are sibling friendly. The classes are always drop in, ?5/class and meet at the Family Natural Health Centre above Soup Dragon at 106 Lordship Lane. thanks again, looking forward to seeing you there! All the best, Bea
