  2. i mentioned peeps' with disabilities need for bus in my email to TFL. Easier to do and quicker than registering etc with them.
  3. ay, it may be more effective to complete > the official survey: > [haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk]...... EASIER to EMAIL this addy rather than go thru hoops to sign TFL's petition
  4. Had near 500 linear feet of books when we downsized. We hardly ever left the house without a bag or 2 of books so if passed a charity shop, community book case we cd leavesome even if I had a hosp appt cd leave some at Friends of Kings Book shop. A lot got collected by the British Heart Foundation along with clothes and furniture. You cd keep a load in the car and try charity shops further afield that you pass. Peepscollect comics and there are shops that sell which I wd have thought buy in bulk - google....only one can find=https://www.webuyanycomic.co.uk/sell-your-comics.... maybe ebay https://books2africa.org/donatebooks - they collect https://www.ziffit.com/en-gb/sell-my-books?msclkid=d3a95693c1d5125c579834054a76ed1f&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=S%20-%20Search%20-%20Books%20-%20UK%20-%20Bing&utm_term=Buy%20Books&utm_content=Buy%20Books . worth looking at. Maybe local secondary schools. Before we moved and since I put books in front of house- if your street has heavy footprint you cd be surpried at how quickly they go. Put the !st under plastic sheeting or in waterproof bags if the weather is inclement. I can't collect but wd be happy to take a couple of bags of fiction if you ever go down Bellenden Rd and could drop them off:-) Good luck
  5. haven't been for a while as still socialy issolating but remember that on menu was avocado on ciabati bread(?spell), is the bread vegan? Do miss the cafewe used to at least twice a week at about 11.00 am for brunch. I have a severe tremor and my drinks always camewith a straw, and food wd have a spoon to make eating easier. ------------------------------------------------------- > Has to be The Crossroads Cafe on Bellenden Rd. > This is a traditional neighbourhood 'caff' - > amazing breakfasts and lunches, generous portions, > huge range of options and service is always with a > huge smile. Fry ups are great, but they also do > much more than that. Not one for those wanting an > Oat Flat White and a Vegan Croissant, although > Vegan/Vegetarians are well catered for. > > It is such a shame there aren't more places like > this is East Dulwich

  7. Canr be as bad as DMC in Bellenden Rd.
  8. greasy spoon on Bellenden RD..run by turks and even does avocados on toast. You can order from set menu or "build your own breakie... eg go for veggie sausage (s) and extra mushrooms if thats whar you want. Good prices, lots of choice - does takeaway which is very popular with workmen. Also the bbest chips ever.

  10. no point complaining...will only get told shortage of Docs.
  11. I would avoid DMC Chadwick RD. I needed a script for a recurring condition that whilkst not urgent wwas incredibly uncomfortable. You are asked to ring at 8.00 am along with masses of others and by time get to next in que get told that all days aappts. aare gone and totry again tomorrow when samething canhappen. At9.00am I was told there wasn't a GPin the practice. I explained my position-got told to ring 111 whotold me was a surgery issue..Isaid what had happened, 111 rang surgerybut had no more luck than I had. 111 then gaveme number ofGuys,St Thomasandsummut else who send electronic script to my designated pharmaacist. No-one appears toread hospital clinic letters or if they don't acton them. Feb my Consultant at Barts wrote asking that the dose forone of many drugs he presribed for a serious heart contidition have the dosage raised. It wasn't..Ithought that his request might have arrived after my 4weekly dosset boxes has been madeup. Wasn't in the next months either!!! So rang DMClast week -yes they found a copy of the letter which they had received in Feb.!!! I cd onbut Ithink you get the message. Must praisethe Amin/receptionist staff tho'
  12. My understanding is that the Common is common land so can't be stopped from camping and that they have porto loos. XR wda thought pretty obvious want more wind turbines and building insulation. Wdnt a Peoples Assembly allow for the above to happen if enuf peeps wanted them to?
  13. As a wheelchair user many is the time I have wished that I had a machete with my to chop down shrubbery hanging over pavements!
  14. Laughing at me error re typing lobotomists rather than phlebotomists... seems that I might well need a Lobotomist in meanrime wil stick to referring to Phlebotomists as Vampires.
  15. Agree that reception and admin staff very helpful. However Docs who seem to mostly be temps are too busy watching the clock and don't spend the time needed to read my notes-imperative as I have a host of co-morbitities. Was recently prescribed a drug by a Doc that the DMC pharmacist pointed out can only be prescriped by Hospital doc when we were going thru a drug review prior to my moving from Day Lewis to another Pharmacy for preparation & delivery of my Dosset Box/Blister Pack.!!!!! Also the DMC seems unable to retain Lobotomists which was one of the reasons that I had chosen that surgery.
  16. Looked at Recommendations for Electricians - found loads in Trades, one in particular a Colin Smith (amongst some others) caught my eye but none of the postings have got contact detailos...help please
  17. Will they be wheelchsir accessible, and have space inside the bus for the wheelchair with person sitting in it?
  18. PO We have offroad parking and are in SE154RQ
  19. Recommendations for Electrician to put in Spur and handyperso with own vehicle please At the end of my galley type kitchen we want to replace 8 gas burner hob with an electric oven Country Chef 99cm range with a smaller 50/55 cm all electric stove. I have established that ao and Appliances Direct will install a smaller stove once the electricity spur is in place. They will also take away the range.A heat proof worktop is then needed to go across the approx. 220cm wide end of kitchen to be fitted around the new stove. . Also recommendations for a Handy-person please. No fancy carpentry is involved I think that capable Handyperso could probably do the work. There is also at least one shelf to be put up, possibly more. We don't have a car so will have to ask whoever takes on the job to take my husband to B&Q to choose a new work top. Thank you.
  20. As a powerchair user I find cyclists on pavements scary. Young children with an adult are usually OK asadult will tell them to avoid me. However faast older cyslists send me into a panic as come, and dont know if coming towards me which side they will go,if behind me don't alwayas hear them.
  21. We also insulated our attic roof under the tiles as well as between the joists.. cost a bit but installers were in and out in a day. House is now warmer in winter and cooler in summer
  22. That has happenedto us, possibly encouraged by fact that altho we have a forexourt we don't have a car in in it.
  23. I wd drop parents off outside which ever entrance they need to use -eg Hampbledon Wing, Jubilee Wing etc.. and go find somewhere further afield for them to ring you when they are ready to leave. A good place for you to pick them up is outside main entrance to Jubilee Wing as it has a seating area and they will be able to spot your car coming.Make sure that u r displaying the correct side of badge in front win dow
