Missing Elderly Man from Nunhead
IrishDancer replied to Peckhamgatecrasher's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You could always contact the Galway Advertiser who have a Facebook page, well that's if your concentrating on the Connemara area, it's the county paper! Just a thought! ------------------------------------------------------- > Thanks for help everyone. I never knew it was illegal or a crime to pick the daffodils from the park? Seriously I didn't know!! I personally couldn't care less about the picking of flowers, but Dog Sh't that's another thing alltogether!! -

Parking ticket on Caldecot Road
IrishDancer replied to IrishDancer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks everyone for your advice, I am definitely going to appeal this ticket and damn those wardens!! -
I am fuming about the parking ticket I have just got on my car, I had a Hospital appointment and parked in the parking bay and put a ticket on the screen which read the time 17:36. I was locking my car and a traffic warden walked past me and my car. I finished at my appointment and returned to my car to find the warden had stuck a ticket on it, stating that from 17:50 until 1805 there was no ticket on display, WTF is all I can say, she must be completely blind not to have seen the ticket which was clearly on display. Anyone else experience this, and what's the best approach to this, pay the fine before disputing it or dispute it first? I really have no intention of paying this as I had a ticket on my car which I have as proof from 17:36 and her ticket states 17:50. I bloody hate wardens!!!!!!!!!!!!

St Thomas More Hall closing
IrishDancer replied to IrishDancer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
@Philliphenslowe I believe what you say, Father Gerry has no time for the Community, and he couldn't care less about the Hall and what our opinions are on the place, him clearly refusing to show up to a meeting shows this. Is there anything we can do to keep this Hall in the Community? Fr Gerry has been in the Parish for less than 6 months and he's already shut down the Hall.I was told from a very reliable source that when asked about the Hall he said "It's my job to say Mass not run a Hall" I can't wait to see how St Anthony's School is going to place next year if thats his attitude. Is there anything we can do to prevent this from happening? -
St Thomas More Hall closing
IrishDancer replied to IrishDancer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yes it's true Fr Gerry has leased it out for 5years to a nursery. I just think it's all been done without any care for the pple who use the Hall on a regular basis or the Community. No mention of his decision to anyone it's all been heard second hand. I suppose 30k a year rental is a guarantee for him! -
When is St Anthony Catholic School Nursery opening

Thanks Pam I eventually got through and it is the 15th. -
I have just heard that this Hall is being closed and was wondering what is going to happen to all the classes that were being taught there, ther was Set dancing, Line dancing, Irish dancing, Ballroom dancing, Music classes and Irish Language classes, has everyone found another Venue to hold the classes at? I think it's a real shame that such a place is being closed, and at such short notice. It's all about the money it seems. I don'tknow why the Priest hasn't announced it at Mass, all classes have been removed from parish letter. Ah well slight rant over!!

3.5 YEAR OLD STILL WEARING A PULL UP TO BED
IrishDancer posted a topic in The Family Room Discussion
My DD is still wearing a pullup to bed and waking up with it wet. I have tried everything from treats to stopping her last drink at 5pm to making her go for a pee at midnight,I donk know if she should be out of them by now or what! She says that she's a big girl and doesn't want to wear a pullup to bed, so when ive put her down without one the beds soaked in the morning. Will it happen when she's ready or do I need to do something to encourage the dumping of the pull up!! thanks
