https://elluredecor.com/products/richmond-dining-chair I have four unmade dining chairs from this company - in the shape of the attached link but with a sort of cream boucle upholstery. They arrived with various bits of damage ( scuffed wood, slightly lumpy upholstery ) so I got a refund but they never collected them. I reckon theres useful chairs in there if anyone would like them. Would hate them to just go to landfill Dm me

Could anyone recommend an agent to take over the management of a freehold for a 5 flat house?. We've been doing it ourselves for years but are thinking it might be less tricky and fairer if a non resident took it over - to avoid in house disputes and the work falling unfairly to one or two people. I might be being over hopeful and it'd be much worse but any advice or recommendations v welcome!

No idea if this is the right section but does anyone know of a local charity that might want a wedding dress? I have a beautiful designer dress that I can't bear to gather dust. Much prefer it went to a good home. Any suggestions welcome

whats abbotswood like behind sainsburies?
shell replied to shell's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I posted the original message and my mum did move there - and has been as happy as larry for 5 years. It's a lovely place to live - you can hear the stadium but its not disturbing - if anything it feels really exciting when there's a match on. I think it has the best ratio of niceness/affordability in Dulwich. Go for it! -
Hi all. Trying to find a good way of celebrating a birthday and wondered if anyone knew of anyone offering their services as a virtual pub quiz host? we could do it ourselves but it would be great if one of us didn't have to miss out on playing!

Support our own East Dulwich tree sellers
shell replied to christine56's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
At the risk of being very unpopular I'm afraid I did buy my tree from tree amigos. I can only carry the tree home from there or from the EDT and I visited both. I really wanted to buy from EDT but it was just a much nicer experience with the new guys. Super friendly and knowledgable with more tree options and it felt more relaxed and christmassy wandering around the green than trying to negotiate the roundabout. They also have really clear pricing whereas the EDT seem to just make up the prices depending who they're speaking to ( myself and my husband were given different prices for the same tree ) Sorry that others disapprove but I also live on the green and just wanted to give a balance - we don't all hate them! -

Constant dumping of rubbish, Hindmans Road
shell replied to Willard's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
A similar thing at the top of Ashbourne grove. Its infuriating. I'm filling in the council fly tipping form on a weekly basis. But there are no bins so I'm not sure getting rid of them will help on Hindmans. Once people see rubbish being dumped there it just becomes the place to ditch stuff. -
Oh perfect, thanks HP

Anyone know? I have a couple of old ( but perfectly usable ) king size quilts.. just not sure what to do with them?

I understand the rules about having over 50% retail .. but it seems to the council would rather something remained empty for a decade than have the 'wrong' class of establishment in it. I don't understand how threshers and the like can be an empty eyesore for years with no issues .. but a restaurant can't open where a shop was. If we really want to protect lordship lane the council need to look at rent control and empty units as well as usage classes. ( i realise the rent control bit is a pipe dream )

Do you want Controlled Parking YES or NO
shell replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I really don't know how I feel about this. Abbottswood rd and surrounding is jam packed with commuters all wk and empty on a weekend. The issue isn't necessarily the cars but how they park. Over dropped curbs, on corners etc. Its a total pain when you're in wheelchair or mobility scooter or just trying to cross the road with kids/prams etc. East Dulwich rd is a nightmare if you live there. Constantly having to park 2 streets away or driving around in circles waiting for a space isn't fun at all ..but at the same time I always feel a little sense of pride telling folk we don't have controlled parking in ED! -
Does anyone know the nearest place to get Hep A and B vaccinations privately?

The real ivy would obvs be far better but if they don't get it praps fake is better than none? ( maybe not .. I'm no expert )
-
Good luck! but if you don't get it how about fake ivy or conifer screening? Not as pretty perhaps but no maintenance moving forward and about a tenner per square meter.
