  1. Very sad to see H&B on LL. Will still go to Health Matters!
  2. I didn’t self diagnose. I had symptoms, I described these to a medical professional and they gave me antibiotics and instructions on changes to look out for and reminder to ring 111. I will now refrain from discussing my personal medical situation on a public forum. For many people, the ability to get antibiotics for a very small number of conditions is a wonderful thing when getting an appointment with a GP is almost impossible or you get one and they don’t even bother to see you.
  3. No I did. It was obvious and I’m a grown up so know my body
  4. This service was an amazing relief a few days before Christmas for a kidney infection. Tried Sogim and they said come back in an hour. As I was in extreme pain, tried the one near Goose Green roundabout and was seen immediately. I haven’t had antibiotics for over 10 years so not concerned about overuse and pharmacist asked the right questions. Very grateful for this service.
  5. How very tragic. My heart goes out to the family.
  6. We’ve had the same problem (with the new style bins) and now have a brick on top. Let’s see how long before they work that one out!
  7. Would love if we could get this delivered!
  8. Does anyone sell buttermilk on Lordship Lane? Can’t say I’ve seen it but also haven’t looked yet.
  9. We recently had a leaking pipe under concrete floor and it cost a bomb to fix. I hope they have home insurance!
  10. We’re looking for a group for a young adult with high functioning autism, something where they can meet local people
  11. I’d be interested to know too!
  12. Fire in Herne Hill in recycling centre I think. Residents in Brixton told to close windows.
  13. I’ve reached the end of my very long tether on this practice. I need a good GP practice that isn’t in meltdown. Are there any? We’re close to most of those in central ED. Was thinking Tessa Jowell. I have a young person with complex health needs do quite desperate.
  14. Does anyone know if this route is disrupted near Parliament during Lying in State? I n Ed to catch it on Sunday.
  15. I sympathetically asked one of the staff (they haven?t caused the problem) why they were so short staffed. As with many other industries, she said that they were struggling to recruit trained staff. I work in another industry experiencing similar recruitment problems so completely understand. It?s getting very challenging
  16. Sadly no Saturdays https://www.kch.nhs.uk/service/a-z/phlebotomy
  17. Does anyone know if people looking for scrap metal still roam the streets of East Dulwich? Before I hire a van to take them to the tip I thought I?d check.
  18. Fab film. Love more from the guy at Emily?s fish bar. He?s lived there since he was little and remembers North X Market of old going all the way to the Actress. Apparently 3rd best market in London.
  19. My reason for adding something on here was a) it?s unusual to have someone knock on your door asking for money b)let people know in case they?re worried about vulnerable friends or relatives c) if he?s genuine, let other people know who may have experience or knowledge on services available. You?d be pushed to find anyone who hasn?t given money to homeless people or some other form of kindness in London. It?s a sad reality. So are scammers. malumbu Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've given money to homeless people before. 20. Yup, same bloke. I?m a sucker. Didn?t give him money but probably would have if I had cash. beck Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There's another thread about this - it vould be > the same person; > /forum/read.php? > 5,2224513
  21. Just had a guy at the door who said he is homeless. He's going door to door to ask for money. I was in the middle of a work call so didn't really get to engage with him any further and don't carry cash so wasn't in a position to give him anything. I have no idea if he is legitimate or not but just thought I'd let people know that he may knock on your door. We're on Hindmans Road. There are people out there in desperate situations so I wouldn't quickly write him off as not being genuine. Happy for others to tell me I gullible etc.
  22. Spoke to our lovely postie today (yes, we got mail delivered!) and she said most of the problem is with the sheer amount of packages. She has said not many staff off sick and they are working very long hours. Would seem the problem is with management not investing in more staff (and vans).
  23. We are missing a large package sent from Australia on 18th Nov, also one card for one of my son?s arrived from to sent on same day from Australia. I can only assume the card - fell through the gaps but the package is large and whole family is disappointed that presents from their grandmother may never arrive. I understand that the poor staff are struggling but we?re feeling a little sad in our house.
  24. Could it be possible that your garden housed a horse and cart? Our garden did (we once had a very large side-return). We still have a section of garden with cobbles. In our single street we know there were at least 3/4 houses which had horses - ours was for the coachman for the doctor who lived next door around 1850s, another was a dairy.
  25. He was playing the Undertones on NX Rd today. Made me smile 😊
