Spotted this Doing the Rounds 🌳 NHS Vaccine Scam Our local Neighbourhood Watch PCSO is circulating a Vaccine Scam warning Dear Watch Member, A local resident drew my attention to this new scam that involves the NHS. What she received was an email which says on the left 'We have identified that you are elgible to apply for your vaccine. For more information and to apply ........ with an invitation to tap into an application form. DO NOT DO SO. On the right side of the page in blue is the NHS logo and then We need to prove ownership of address. It then asks you to have a debit/ credit car ready and the information they want you to enter. Please advise anyone (particularly the elderly) who is likely to be taken in, and thinking that they have to pay for the vaccine. Bob S

BRIEFING NOTE On Saturday 2nd January at 1412hours officers attended Great Dover Street, SE1 following a report of a male causing a disturbance in a residential address. On arrival officers were threatened by the man inside. This prompted a co-ordinated multi-agency response including armed officers and a negotiator. A small number of residents were evacuated from their homes as a precaution and nearby roads closed. The Southwark Council Local Authority Liaison Officer and the neighbourhood officer for London Bridge provided community reassurance and welfare to residents affected. The incident ended just after 10pm with the man arrested for various offences. This male remains in custody while officers investigate the circumstances. All displaced residents were permitted to return to their home addresses. At this time there are no reports of any injuries to any person involved in the incident. We are not looking for further suspects. Anyone with information of this incident but has not yet spoken with police is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3017/02Jan, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Good afternoon Please see a Briefing Note below following an incident yesterday in SE16. Thankyou all for your support throughout the year. Best wishes Tom Inspector Tom Cornish | Neighbourhood Policing | Southwark | AS BCU | Peckham Police Station, 177 Peckham High Street, London, SE15 5SL???? tel: 0207 232 6495 | internal: 726495 mobile: 07917 133162 Twitter: @InspTomCornish ? Monday, December 29th, 2020 AS ? Central South Youth stabbing, Jamaica Road, SE16 Briefing note At approximately 8.15pm, on Sunday 27th December, we received a report of a teenage boy having been stabbed multiple times in Jamaica Road, SE16. It is believed four teenage males attacked the sixteen-year-old who then fled to his home address. His mother then called police and took him to hospital. He received a slash to his elbow and two small wounds to his back. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. A crime scene was opened in Jamaica Road near the junction with Abbey Street. This was closed in the early hours of this morning. Detectives in CID are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and supporting the boy and his family. This will understandably cause concern in the community. However, we believe this to be an isolated incident and not gang-related. Extra search powers under Section 60 were considered, but not deemed necessary. No arrests have been made at this stage. There will be increased high visibility patrols and reassurance patrols in the area in the coming days. ? Anyone with information of this incident but has not yet spoken with police is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 5316/28Dec, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Please do contact my staff office or me if you have any questions or wish to discuss any further aspect of this incident with me. Regards, Colin Wingrove ?

At the outbreak of this pandemic I was approached and requested if I would be a (key contact)for the Metropolitan police Briefing's on the day to day situation of the covid outbreak and the local community, which I have continued to do.However the daily briefings are now less frequent and off topic and not really relevant to the Corvid group they were posted in, but still important information for the local community so will now continue to post here,if I'm breaking any rules I am certain I'll be jumped on.
