  1. You missed my point I object to women being the only ones deemed relevant on the petition, and that men are excluded If the transgendered community has been consulted to the exclusion of all others, then the petition should call for an open consultation I believe in transgendered rights, I also believe in women?s rights, but not to the exclusion of men?s rights You say ?We?ve all been cowed into silence by the screams of ?transphobe, bigot? isn?t it time that we put aside hypocrisy Transphobic or mysogynist? To me this signifies a rise in misandry By the way, in case of doubt, I?m female
  2. I applaud what you did. I think your petition is phrased badly though and as such I cannot sign it until I understand. Why should only women be consulted?
  3. We have local community schools with very small catchment areas and parents shouldn?t be driving their kids to school in the first place, unless there are disability issues. My personal niggle is that the double yellow lines that have been recently put in on the corners of most roads have done nothing to improve safety. The roads are clearly too narrow and the angles too steep to impact on safely pulling out or crossing. The only consequence has been to make residential parking far more difficult and neighbours far more likely to be unneighbourly. I do wonder at the level of expertise of the people who planned, voted on and implemented these measures
  4. I went back to work (high flier) when eldest was 6 months, then stopped to be a SAHM when he was 17 months. Best decision I ever made. I spent the next 7 years being a full time parent to my children. I made great friends with other parents, trained to be a childminder and did that for 1 day a week until I was pregnant with my 2nd child. Got very involved with primary school, became a school governor Went back to working termtime only when both children were at primary. Husband took them to school I picked them up. Both now at secondary and I have a completely different career which I have grown to be rather successful in, from an entry level work within hours that suit my life to fairly high level (over the last 8 years) My life is different than it might have been I spent 7 years working a tight budget, now we don't really bother too much about money. But it worked for us. And I don't regret leaving my first career, and I very much enjoy and am grateful for my second

  6. You want them to plant trees in winter?

  10. Good Went once ..it was terrible
  11. Become a childminder

Totally understandable and as it is a Southwark restriction it should be adhered to. But that doesn't mean that there is the financial ability, human resources or will to enforce in the police force when they have other priorities This is on the Southwark site http://www.southwark.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/11918/20mph_speed_limit_faq This was the mets position in 2014 http://www.london-se1.co.uk/news/view/7716 Interesting to see if there has been any progression on discussions

Which was sorely needed. No there's 2 racks ...which is excellent..and there's some decent benches too ...and the racks are facing the mirror There's a squat rack and a multi functional rack (dont know what it's called but it's in the middle and seems to be for squat, deadlift, pull up etc) that's the one with the mirror obstructed view TBH ..it's also next to the Smith but far too close
  15. Cardio machines are far too close together, if they took just one out in each row it wouldn't be as oppressive Leg press is facing the wall? What happens to your other leg during single leg presses? That must be a mistake Rack right next to Smith ...that's dangerous, someone's gonna whack their head on the smith bar when changing plates. Also can't check form in mirror because of positioning of Dumbbells and bench. That said the equipment looks good, great to have a much bigger free weights section, some great new machines and it should be great when all bits are open

  17. Sorted
  18. I don't believe that anyone expects children to be suited for funerals Dark trousers and casual smart should suffice

Very naive of me, I now see. Yes it does work best when we all look out for each other, the point you are missing is that as a cyclist you are a functioning adult with reasoning skills and full control of your actions ..unlike a toddler, small child or dog who has seen a squirrel I think most here have seen the odd racers who seem to think they have right of way in the park over and above those that have less impulse control ..and perhaps they are colouring you with that brush

Apparently in most > people's view this is an entirely unreasonable > request. I think it behoves cyclists in public parks to cycle at a sedate pace and be constantly aware of small children, dogs and pedestrians and adjust accordingly So yes, your OP was, in my view as a cyclist, mother and dog walker, unreasonable
  21. Underhill road Any of the roads on a slope Depends on elevation...the loft conversions on Heber to Pellatt, and probably beyond, have great city views
  22. You must have signed up to these terms
  23. More space for free weights, increasingly popular for both genders and it can be quite daunting vying for space with more experienced lifters ... an additional squat rack because it's really popular equipment (not a smith machine) ...failing that benches with safety spotters to free up the rack a little more
