  1. There is the Goose Green Ward that covers East Dulwich. Reposting: Thanks for joining the Goose Green Ward Coronavirus Mutual Aid group! The plan is to get organised to help each other and people in our community to get through this outbreak. There's no formal leaders as such, so please feel free to propose things, co-ordinate things and take initiative if you have the time and energy, whilst checking in with others to make sure our ideas and actions are the best they can be. Already happening: - There's a shared google drive, to collate ideas, plans, different working group/task areas: [ ___________________________________________________ ] (At some point we may want to organise using some other online tools which might work better.) - We will share info in this Whatsapp group about any Borough-wide Zoom calls (internet video chats). Details will also be posted on the Southward Mutual Aid FB page: https://m.facebook.com/#!/groups/833177740485170?ref=m_notif&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic Roles to be filled: - Managing the google drive: adding ideas and links people post here, thinking about how we manage access once the group really grows, thinking about how we can collectively track the status of tasks and who is doing what. - Maybe 3-5 people could take on setting up an email address, finding a dedicated phone, sourcing free or cheap printing, making a list of community centres and streets to flyer, etc. - Adding your ideas, concerns and anything else to the google drive, or sharing them in the Whatsapp group. We're looking for: -- Ideas on how to help people. -- Ideas on how to ask people and engage people on what they need. -- Ideas for different strands of work / working groups we should have. -- Any resources made by others that could be useful to us. -- Anything else you think could be important. If you see new people join the group. Please copy and paste this message into the group again so they know what?s what! Solidarity! 2. I was in Co Op yesterday and there were NO toilet rolls or soaps. One lady was distressed as she told me she couldn?t get any in Sainsbury?s and was hoping Co-Op would have but they didn?t. I went in to get some for my mum and there isn?t any. Ocado is out. You just lucked out. By the way I was in Peckham yesterday and the queues were crazy in Savers and this went on: https://www.facebook.com/652845175/posts/10163160653895176/?d=n DulwichFox Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I have had NO problem getting hold of Toilet Rolls > and Kitchen Towels. > > From Sainsbury's and the Co-op. > > People need to stop being so Melodramatic. > > There is no shortage. > > DulwichFox.
  3. It?s already in the tabloids and on the school?s own website so hardly personal is it?
  4. Bonkers. But people don?t bulk buy during the flu/cold season. I?m guessing hand washing and bum wiping isn?t standard judging by all the silly bulk buying.
  5. Kings College Hospital too. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-kings-college-hospital-london-a4378856.html
  6. I got this email from Greenpeace: Greenpeace activists have shut down more than 95 Barclays branches all over the country - and 5 of them are currently hosting pop-up exhibitions showing the effects of the climate emergency. They're there to demand that Barclays stop bankrolling climate breakdown and start funding a better future for the planet and its people. Banks are as guilty for the destruction of our climate as the fossil fuel companies they fund - we can't let them get away with it anymore. Can you help drive this urgent message to Jes Staley, Barclays' CEO? Barclays are the worst bank in Europe for funding the climate crisis - they finance fossil fuel companies with billions of pounds a year. We need to be loud and clear in telling them that this just isn't acceptable.
  7. It a different type of B12 though. 8. The B12 in yeast triggered off my skin disorder so that didn?t work for me and the supplements just didn?t absorb properly with me so I stopped being vegan despite trying it for over a year.
  9. I had the same issue. I?ve got IBS and auto immune illnesses and as a plant-based diet is heavy in grains, nuts, seeds, legumes and carbs I ended up with a constant swollen stomach as well as another auto immune illness. I find I fare a lot better with fish and the occasional grass fed/free range meat with vegetables and fruits that isn?t too taxing on the gut. Your body is your best guide. 10. I emailed the local councillor too but have not had a reply as yet.
  11. They just changed the light outside my house yesterday to the new bright ones. It?s outside my bedroom window too and it?s horrid. It?s so bright. It?s really strange looking outside at night and seeing it so lit up. What was wrong with the old style lights?!
  12. I checked online and it said: WHAT DOES THE TICKET PRICE INCLUDE? The ticket price includes entry to the festival and access to chef demos and all the acts on the music stage. Dishes are priced at ?5 each and drinks vary from bar to bar.
  13. I think you have to pay for food and booze on top of the entrance fee. paulu197 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > personally can't wait - and the price is good too > as it includes beer and food. not complaining
  14. So when/why is it closing?
  15. I stand corrected, Rock Steady Rum Lounge https://www.rocksteadyrumlounge.com/
  16. Rock Steady Lounge or something like that. Is it going? Why?
  17. How utterly awful and scary. I hope that he is caught and punished for his primitive behaviour.
  18. It?s not easy to swap though, so if you want to downsize/upsize within your own area, it?s virtually impossible to find something and that is assuming the other person is up for the swap because people have to consider schools/work/family/health. It?s not a simple case of someone has a three bed in Dulwich and can swap to a one bed in Dulwich because they rarely exist. They did documentary about home-swapping and it?s not easy or realistic for most so they have to pay the bedroom tax despite trying to swap. Another example is that a two bed house is considered a three bed house by Southwark Council as they state that the dining room is a bedroom, this is baring in mind that the living room isn?t big enough for a dining table nor is the kitchen so the tenant is paying bedroom tax for a dining room. fishbiscuits Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > TBH the bedroom tax seemed reasonable to me. There may be issues with the execution (e.g. > the example given above of rooms too small to > really use as a bedroom, or no suitable smaller > property available) but I agree with the > principle. 19. Just to say Uncleglen, that I used to be a Benefits Fraud Investigator for 7 years and all I can say to you is that you need to stop reading the Daily Mail as it?s embarrassing the nonsense that you are sprouting.
  20. Hi Jep, I know who she is. I?ve sent you a PM but I?ve not had a reply. She is happy to collect her post from you if you could let me know when and where. Thank you.
  21. Just sent you a PM.

  23. I got my tree from EDT for ?25. We are very happy with it. But it?s round the corner from me so it suited my needs. shell Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > At the risk of being very unpopular I'm afraid I > did buy my tree from tree amigos.
