receptionist in willis B Hair
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to summerbreezee's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
That is why I just cut and dye my own hair, I can be moody or happy and it doesn't matter! Just don't do your own hair after a bottle of wine! -
Christmas Party..too early?
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to Dulwich Born And Bred's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It is never too early to plan a christmas bash as people tend to book places very early anyway! I am a christmas baby ( I turn 30 in December..wooo flirty thirties!) so maybe that is why I am like a kid waiting for chrismas!) and on fridays at the locals no mistletoe is provided nor any sequins so it doesnt count does it?? -
Famous People in Sainsburys
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to Ladygooner's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
This is off subject but I saw one of the girls from the group Eternal (Kelli) in Dulwich Leisure centre. Jo Brand, Nesbitt, Hermoine from Cold feet etc all shop in Sainsburys. -
How Long Have You Lived In East Dulwich?
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to fish's topic in The Lounge
I was born in Dulwich Hospital, and have moved in and out of East Dulwich for a while but have lived here for about 19 years and I am only 29! I love it here and I would only ever live in Dulwich out of the whole of London but even so, I yearn for peace and quiet now and I am looking to move to Sussex eventually. -
I only like the chips from my local Kebab shop saying that on Crystal Palace road, their chips are gorgeous! But I cannot have my chips and eat it because my thighs punishes me but gaining lbs of fat for each chip I eat....past me the celery please!

I used to go in there when I Was little, used to be really cool, bad karoke and all the chavs on cider white and falling over the place! (well I was only young!) but I stopped going when I became a lady because I did not want to be around chavs, now and again I still pop in because it is my local but I have not been in since the face lift but I will give it a go. I dont rate many of the pubs to be honest, I did love the Black Cherry (though that is not a pub) I didnt like EDT because the people were so unfriendly and miserable (booooooo) but I am not giving up, what is that pub called next to Black Cherry? (yes I should be ashamed of myself as I have lived here forever) they were quite friendly there and there were some nice eye candy...hmmm might give it a go! Sorry back to the Plough...well it serves drinks and there has never been a bust up when I have been there, does exactly what is says on the tin and that is passable to me!

Well I am newly single now, my lovely partner of 12 years got cold feet and decided he no longer wants marriage so alas we have gone our separate ways, so I will be donning my flirty dress with my friends and hitting the local pubs soon, especially now the dark nights , halloween, fireworks, christmas and all the sequins and sparkles season is upon us! Bonus is I can stagger home in my heels, then again that bloody hill where Townley Centre is kills me, great for toning the bum and thighs but probably not so great in heels and after a bottle or two of wine! ( I live just pass Dulwich Library...is that East Side? yo!) Investment bankers, struggling writers and actors sounds like they have too much baggage for dating...you know all the eccentric ways and the dark complexs and intensity....I think it might be too much for a simple girl like me!

well i do wear focus dailies lenses, maybe I should change them as I had no idea about the Drum...hmmm i shall go there! and inside 72, yeah I know where that is, very tiny? with leather sofas? never appealed to me being in someone elses breathing space, it is TINY!! But hey, I will give that a go! Ohhh how disappointing about the Greyhound and crown!

Is it toooooooooo early to arrange a forum christmas party? can we do it somewhere posh like the Vale? (that was a joke by the way!)

Jerk Rock?
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to Dulwich Born And Bred's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
El Paso used to be wicked, I love mexican food, but sadly I was really disappointed when I asked for tortillas with the cheese, tomatoes etc and I got sainsburys nachos which was bloody salty and it tasted like they used red hot chilli pepper west indies style instead of tomato sauce etc. The wraps were horrible and the ice creams looks was joke, tiny and like the ones you get in makro from a multi pack! I went for my birthday and was disappointed! I preferred my hummus, pitta bread and olives from Horniman museum cafe!! We still need a proper west indies shop in dulwich and a sushi bar...someone please opena sushi bar!!! -
You all make me laugh so much!:)) Seriously, when I was single (though I am single legally), and I am rather gorgeous you know! (ok, my mirror is one of those magic ones that makes everyone gorgeous!) and when my sisters, myself and friends used to hit the bars, no one would approach us, and we did smell of soap, we cleaned our teeth and wore clean clothes that smelt of Daz detergent. I think it was because we are sooooo beautiful! I dont think I could pull now even If I wanted to, being a nanny means I always look like i have been dragged through a hedge backwards and I look like I battle through a tornado daily also...if you see a mixed race lady with red wild hair power pramming a little boy in Lordship lane, that is me...in my own little bubble going to one playgroup to the next, and avoiding people in case I have bran flakes and vomit on my clothes! Where is 72 and drum? we are talking DULWICH right? Been to Lioquish, Black Cherry, Bishop, Franklins, Vale, EDT, Plough...Maybe I should try Greyhounds in the village...meant to be rich hot totties there...I am not a wannabe WAG ..honest!

Peckham Rye Childrens Play Area
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to AllforNun's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I am a nanny, I took my little man there, and I was not amused, the toys were nasty and tatty, I told his mum upon my return that I am not taking him to that riff raff place again! -
LOL well I am a bit of a fruitcake myself but no one needs to know that! I actually dont find anyone in Dulwich friendly! I was born in Dulwich hospital, lived here all my life, I have hit a few bars in Lordship lane and no one says as much as boo! Friendly bunch arent we??
-
Dulwich is full of yummy mummies, yuppies and z list celebs, anyway I have some single friends, they want to hit Dulwich bars and pubs and pull some decent men...any recommendation? It would help if they were not the types that go to Kebab and wine after hours, or are best buddies with the local fruitcakes ( you know who I mean!)

Dulwich Born And Bred replied to Dulwich Born And Bred's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Check it here: http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/reviews/4185.html How the mightly has fallen eh? Another expensive clothes shop? I better spend a year saving up then! Heidi xx -
For a restuarant that got a recommendation in Time Out, why has it closed down? I never did go in there, the guys loitering outside used to put me off! But we do need a nice west indies and a sushi bar in Lordship lane!

That new gym that's opening on Lordship Lane
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to a topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sounds grest but way out of my price range. I am a nanny and have to eat and pay rent and the rest and I am disappointed with Dulwich Fusion, and would have loved to have joined this new gym but the price is way out of my range, any discounts for locals and those like me who do not have a bottomless wallet?? -
1: Central to west end/Croydon and other places 2: You can mingle with the posh lot in the boutiques and gallery/park 3: Good enough for the celebs, good enough for us! 4:Sainsbury is excellent, got everything at hand via the shops, delis etc 5:The gym might suck but the people there are lovely Against: There are a lot of nutters in Dulwich.
