We share our recycling box with our neighbour as someone keeps taking our recycling boxes and bag ( we live on the main road of LL!) and we have no divider in our box, so the glass and plastic are together in the box, we had a note from the council saying they are not going to take our plastic/glass/cans unless we stop mixing them together in the box....ermmm what are we supposed to do?? we already spend ages cleaning the bloody empty cans, jars etc, going in every room and making sure the papers and rest are not mixed in with other rubbish, putting it our every Monday evenings, and now because we dont have a divider in the box and the plastic/cans etc are touching each other they wont take it! We just dont have time for petty things like that!

If you watch the American chat shows, you can see how disgusting some of the American teeth are! The only thing that most people in America have are white teeth even if it is crooked because bleaching out there is dirt cheap, whereas us Brits tends to have stained teeth, however with cheaper teeth whitening, and teeth bleaching available on the internet, most of us are sporting pearly white also. I am lucky as I do not have a single filling and my teeth are lovely and white, probably being a lovely brown colour helps with making my teeth look whiter too! I cannot afford the dentist anyway!

Sadly those > lessons are so easily forgotten. I was born in 1977 so before my time it seemed. The thing is Michael, from day one, there has been war, killings, and so forth and we NEVER learn. That is just human nature, we will continue until the world ends or humans cease to exist to have endless, pointless killings. What can we do? the majority of us don't kill and do not need to know about history to know that killings are wrong, but there are always going to be people in power abusing their power and encouraging wars, and killings, and then you got those who are just a waste of space on this earth and are pure evil. What to do? even in this day and age, us little people are powerless to help. Look at the marches we go on to encourage an end to war, and so forth, it is fruitless.

Michael Palaeologus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are you infering that atrocities such as the > Birmingham pub bombings were hyped up? I have no idea what you are talking about so I cannot comment on that. I am talking about suicide bombings in the UK since 9/11. That is ALL I am talking about. Sean and Downsouth, you seemed to understand what i am attempting and failing to say! Thank you.

You need to read the website regardings bombings and such in Turkey, there is a lot more bombings then you think, but MP, this has nothing to do with my liking hummus and going to Turkey for holidays! I am giving examples of countries that have lots of bombings in their countries. I didn't understand what Vanillanewts was trying to say by saying we were all too scared to get on the tubes and such, I dont recall that. As you said, we had the IRA before, and to be honest, the media really did hype up a lot of these fears regarding bombs etc. I am being misunderstood. My argument is: The police made a mistake, so learn from mistakes, they have to hold their hands up and say " we made a mistake" but they have not. and THAT is the problem.

I was referring to: vanillanewts Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > just wondering how many people slagging off the > police officers' actions that morning reckon they > could do that job in those circumstances when lets > face it, the majority of people in London were too > scared to get on the tubes/buses/let alone put > themselves on the front line to protect london > against such atrocities. My point was that he is basically saying that we should be lucky we have officers putting themselves on the front line(when it is their JOB ) and stating we were all scared(people still went about their business so I dont know where the latter cane from) which is no excuse for what happened that day. Suicide bombers are not the norm in the UK. And as far as I am concerned, life does not stop because of 9/11. I mentioned Turkey, Israel etc because they are countries who live with the threats of suicide bombers and terrorists every single day of their lives, and over the years have had to deal with these kind of people. They are more or less aware that you cannot really stop these kind of people, because they are not scared to die, how do you stop someone who WANTS to die for a cause and take down as many people with them as possible? all of this can only be stopped before the person actually steps out onto the street in public to do what they think they need to do to get to paradise and become a hero but for every person you stop, there is another brainwashed person at home making a bomb to get to paradise and have their nubile virgins, honeys and milk. I still fail to understand how letting the person leave home, go to a public place, yell at them to stop and then give chase is an effective way to deal with a suicide bomber, who was NOT Wearing a THICK jacket. I think the fact the man was from Brazil cocked their plain up, has he been muslim, they would have said "well, he WAS muslim, and he did act suspicious etc" but alas, he was from Brazil, their investigations was a complete shambles, and they lied to cover up all their errors. God bless our police force!

That is what i am saying, ANYONE one of us could be a terrorist and carrying a bomb, could we not? suicide bombers can only really be stopped if they are making the bombs at home, in some factory or whatever and the police raid them before they strap it to themselves and go off to be so called Heroes by blowing themselves and everyone up. My point is, that if someone has a bomb on them, shouting out "stop" or running after them, in a public place is NOT going to stop a suicide bomber, because after all they are NOT afraid of death, hence why they are willing to kill themselves and others for the cause. I think common sense would say you cannot chase or tell a suicide bomber to "stop", and in a public place? the investigations they did should have been that they arrested him at home, even if they found nothing on him and he was released without charge, it would have been better to bust in on him at home, where he would have been strapping the device onto himself and not in public! As i keep saying over and over, I am not going to be grateful that I have police men who lie to the back of their teeth for doing a job that they have been trained to do properly. When I make mistakes, I say so, I dont cover up and BS, and since they are supposed to be upright, law enforcement officers, they do not show a good side of themselves with this incident. They just showed how corrupted they are. And no, I was never scared to jump on the bus, because the reality was that any bombs we were going to have were never going to be as bad as Turkey , or what is happening in the Middle Eastern Countries, and they have to deal with the threats of bombs every single day, just like during the world war, life goes on, you cannot let people beat you, so you still have to get on the bus, tubes etc and just carry on the best you can.

So it takes exactly SEVEN shots to the HEAD to ensure a suspect doesn't get the chance to detonate a device? not 1, 2, 3 but SEVEN? nice. I think from when the suspect RAN, he could have easily let it off then has he been a suspect...suicide bombers dont usually run away do they? and being told to STOP by the police? hmmm, yeah I can that being very effective with suicide bombers, since they aim to take down everyone and anyone. I don't think giving chase, or shouting "stop" is the right way to handle a suspect suicide bomber. Like I said before, it is a loads of BS,they cocked up BIG time. The end. Sorry Angst, i was meant to post it on here but somehow I pressed the wrong button and sent it as PM to you!! sorry!

All I ask for is a Sushi bar!! why why why do we need more funky clothes shops??

7 times in the head at point blank is STILL excessive. And they SHOULD have done their investigations PROPERLY, PRIOR to going out and shooting an innocent man. BTW Everyone is suspicious to someone! That is not an excuse to use what ifs because everything is an a what if, we could ALL be terrorists, criminals, murderers etc, no one knows what we all are doing behind close doors..hence having investigators who are supposed to check evidences, keep a watch on us and only act beyond all reasonable doubts. And to have police LYING? hmmmph! How very honourable!

It gets left outside if you are not around, try capricorn organic, that is who i am using at the moment, she delivers on Tuesday in the evenings.
-
The vegs and fruits are from farmers in THIS country, seasonal vegs and fruits only, you get all the details of the farm, what they use and so on, you can even visit the farm. You can order some fruits such as bananas but they make sure it is fairtrade bananas. Ditto on the meats and also the fish, i dont go for the farmed stuff!
-
We buy our fruits and vegs from the local farms, I am with capricorn organics, and my boss is with Riverford ( Riverford actually deliver your products via a bike to cut their carbon footprint) we buy our meats from the William Rose, and everything else such as pasta, rice, and cleaning products we order online from tescos, ideally we would prefer not to, because ALL big supermarkets, including waitrose are a rip off, waitrose/Ocado still do not have all organic food and their labels still have lots of crap in their food, so still made in a factory! But anything fair trade is always good (but again, via a supermarket they probably still get a cut of the profits!) if I could afford it I would probably buy things like pasta, rices and such in local delis. It is all the pre packed foods, the fruits, vegs and cheap meats and junks that are the biggest problems hence we only buy organic locally.

So the guy is meant to be running and acting nervous, and the good man shot him? if he was a sucide bomber dont you think the nervous act and the running away would have made him blow himself and everyone up? Ohhh I am so allergic to Bullshi#t!
-
I always look nervous when I go on the tubes, hate public transport! I better not go out when there is a high public alert. They should do their investigations properly, they are trained to know their job, but the whole operation was a shambles, he was completely the wrong man, I mean he looked nothing like the guy in the photo they were supposed to be watching, and these people are PROFESSIONALS???? our security depends on people like them!!
-
I dont know why you dont just ask for home delivery with William Rose...we do! No queuing!! I find people in Dulwich generally all polite, not had a problem with anyone so far, as for THAT chemist, well they have known my family and I for years so we get on with them but they do have a HUGE turnover of staff and I have walked in and seen customers shouting at them and walking out in a huff, but I only ever catch the end bits so I never know what provokes it!
-
Pay my debts, buy my family a house, I would not donate money to charity because I like to see where my money has gone, I would actually go over to whatever country and get involved so I can see the difference my money has made and I personally would live abroad, I am not buying a house in London thank you, I can get more for my money abroad!

At the end of the day, the police could have stopped him in Brixton/Vauxhall or wherever he was, because they watched him from there and followed him all the way to the tube station and THEN shot him which is more of a danger with the public! 6/7 times? point blank? and all those errors they made? with the investigation and so on? Talk about trigger happy!
