Oli and his team did an absolutely fantastic job of a complete redesign of our garden with help from his father Nigel Gardenman as he’s known on this forum. Nigel took us to his fantastic trade only nursery and advised on planting. The results are superb, garden needs time to bed down and yet to put in flowers etc. but I’m so excited to start planting up a storm and enjoying the garden this summer. Very happy to recommend!

The building is too expensive/bad repair and risky (no one really knows the state it’s in or what they might fib) for anyone to take on. Rather than be allowed to knock down this eyesore and put something made for purpose up that would benefit the children, who have to put up with flooding and not being able to access their lunch hall without walking all the way round on the pavement, this horrible facade will carry on rotting away, while students don’t have room or will have to be put in prefabs.

Bike stolen out side Dulwich sports centre
Natty replied to Natty's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks to everyone for condolences. The woman who took the picture whom I have thanked profusely, was absolutely terrified. As someone said, if thieves are that brazen they might turn it on someone trying to apprehend or have a knife. I?m just grateful she did what she could. It only took 20 seconds, so I don?t think anyone would have time from the centre and again they might have been hurt. Outside the gym is THE only place I leave it, it?s a house bike and I kept in the office. And it always came to the pub with me (cab back of course). I?m bereft. Thanks for lock recommendations too. -

And here?s a photo of him doing it! Note the trainers -
word of warning to bike owners. Stolen my Brompton with an angle grinder. Sturdy lock on it and the whole thing took 20 seconds. In front of centre and busy entrance to centre! Anyone come across please pm me or call police. Deadlock the only way despite the weight.

To add to the general praise. Fernando is not only highly professional, does a wonderful job but is also charming and courteous! So great to find some thoroughly reliable. Will be booking in regular slot.

There are children who, for a plethora of reasons, will never attain in maths and English. There are also those with SEN who will never attain. What do you suggest we do with these children? School should also be for teaching students about life, society and self-development/life skills not just academic acheivement. To say that carpentry is a hobby (sorry I know that was a lot earlier in the thread) is plain rude to all those whose make it their livlihoods. Vocational subjects are an important part of many student's schooling and can teach them skills that others might not be able to achieve if they more academic.

Thanks for that but the discussion is actually about Kingsdale. Anybody got anything other than use of the PR???

I just wondered if ANY ONE had anything to say about the actual school and/or attended the open day. I think that is what the original message was trying to ascertain. I for one would like to hear people's experience of the school! Anyone....???

I used to find it quite useful but like others despite living in SE22 don't get it. I actually rang up and complained (during a slow day on Radio 4) they said how sorry they were and promptly did nothing about it. I assume its 'cos I live on top of a steep hill and they can't be arsed to climb it.
