how about a meet up on Tuesday afternoon in that case and try to get together with a few more of the first time mums? Seems a lot of people don't manage to make the Monday meet-ups, and with powerpramming at lunchtime it's quite rushed. Weather forecast is not so good, so stick with tea & cake at The Gardens?

I've been told it's on at The Big Scream in greenwich this Friday... though I can't seem to find it on their website. I'm sure you could call and check though!

Is it worth getting a Bugaboo Cameleon travel bag?

Thanks for the advice. I think we will get one after all as we'll be doing 2-3 long haul flights this year and probably will also have to do a flight transfer. Will be much safer to check it in - and as you say, if you can fill it with extra things too, so much the better! -
Hi Loren, I'm sure there are lots of 1st time mums out there - they're just all hibernating, as like you and me, probably only just getting to grips with this whole baby malarkey! I know there's still quite a few people who are waiting for their little uns to arrive. Perhaps you can suggest a time / place convenient for you and then see who can make it? Mine baby is the same age as yours - we are currently struggling with the crazy 6 week growth spurt! Not easy as I already had problems with my milk supply due to an earlier nursing strike and undiagnosed tongue tie. :( Unfortunately I've been busy all the afternoons this week with various appointments, but I could prob make something next Wednesday. I'm quite likely to miss the Gardens on Monday (if that's on). Also thinking of maybe trying the Nun's Head the following Monday. S

Congratulations guys! Great news. Lots and lots of babies... C - I made these cookies as a labour snack (we ate them all before though) and they were yum. V easy to make it with whatever stuff you've got lying around. They come out enormous though so I would chill the mixture before baking if I did it again to reduce the amount of spreading! http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2034/bumper-oat-cookies

Hello, Does anyone have any advice on how / where to get a passport photo done for my baby? She'll be travelling at 3 months! Thanks.

Great news Caroline - really pleased for you and was lovely to bump into you and bump the other day! :) Congrats to all the new mums. Nicky, Sal & Ruth - got my fingers crossed for all of you. I'm finally getting a bit more on track with my little one, but she's been diagnosed with a posterior tongue tie which explains a heck a lot of our struggles over the past few weeks and the slow weight gain despite hours of feeding. Unfortunately NHS won't treat it for at least another week though and I don't think I can bear it so I'm looking into whether someone will do it privately asap. Aiko's going to be 1 month old next Tuesday! Can't believe it's gone so fast... Hubby went back to work this week and we have managed fine, so think I am ready to start meeting up and socialising... :)

Hello, I've been suffering from pelvic pains since I gave birth a little over 2 weeks ago, although didn't have SPD during pregnancy. I've managed to get a referral for a physio from my GP and should be covered by health insurance. Would anyone be able to recommend a good local physio for this type of problem?? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations Anna! Sounds amazing - I'm looking forward to the day I have a second child so I can have my homebirth!! Things have settled down a treat here and baby is now feeding well. Her weight is being closely monitored though as she lost so much the first 2 days and had only put on 20g between her last two weigh-ins. She's a bit of a piggy though so I'm sure she'll be fine when she gets weighed tomorrow.. fingers crossed. x

Merry Christmas all! I'm in the postnatal ward this morning with baby Aiko, hoping to get discharged today. No Idea what we'll be having for dinner since our planned roast certainly isn't getting cooked! Baby arrived 30 hours after waters broke - waited it out so she could have a christmas eve birthday! And yes, labour ward has been ridiculously busy. Good luck to all the home birthers - it was good I was in hospital in the end, but did have to spend 8 hours in labour without a proper room!! Hypnobirthing was a godsend. See you soon with babies! Xx

hello! Baby is still safely tucked up in my tum, but sadly I think I'll have to give tonight a miss - hubby has been out after work a couple of evenings this week so would like to see him today! Hope you have a great time - pampering would have been lovely. :) Caroline - have you looked at the spinning babies website? There are some tips on there about inversion etc. to try and help turning as well as tips on mapping your baby's position. xx
