  1. The situation is a total shocker. An absolutely horrible experience and taking ages to get home every day. Who can we complain to? I don't feel like just putting up with this for the next x number of years!
  2. Edited for accidental duplication!
  3. Thanks, Mark. Do we know if these timetable changes are permanent? Is the 8.40 going to terminate at south Bermondsey indefinitely?
  4. I like the street art... Nice touch! Looking forward to it opening.
  5. What is opening in North Cross Rd next [this?] week??
  6. Oooh, you got me worried for a moment! Great news.
  7. Yay for the French invasion!
  8. I'm failing to see the problem or understand the total outrage, too. Live and let live?
  9. Gardener's delight and Sungold always do very well for me! Outside in a grow bag with a lot of afternoon sun.
  10. This looks amazing! V excited.
  11. Wow. Titch Juicy has some amazing taste! Good listening, E.D.
  12. There are a lot of cafes in E.D. but none that do really great coffee from small-batch roasters (maybe Toasted, but it still feels like you're drinking coffee in a bar). I'd be very excited about the Black Lab coffee shop - but understand completely that people might not be as much of a coffee geek as me!
  13. I saw what looked like a black bee in my garden yesterday - has anyone here spotted an insect like this before? It was definitely enjoying the nectar from my borage!
  14. No-one is allowed to take away my 40! I use it on a daily basis and it's the only bus that I can actually get on in the mornings...
  15. So incredibly excited about this! Good work, James.
  16. I really like it too! At least it's doing something a bit different.
  17. I'm really going to miss this place: such friendly service and so full of character. It just simply added charm to the area. These rising rents make my blood boil.
  18. Oh, that is lovely. Going to print off... Well done you two!
  19. I am very excited by the prospect and would definitely use it! Thanks for facilitating, James.
  20. Sorry to resurrect all of this, but thought it was interesting to see in this article, http://londonist.com/2013/10/busovercrowding.php, that the 185 and 176 bus routes are cited as among the most crowded in London... Surely more ammunition to get further transport infrastructure in the surrounding area, such as a tube extension to Camberwell? I've also noticed over the last couple of years that I've lived here that the First Capital Connect services from Denmark Hill in the mornings are getting ever more crowded...
  21. I appreciated having all the local info supplied this way. Many thanks.
  22. I like the mural and wish The Patch the very best of luck!
  23. I agree ^ . The quantity of litter on the slopes is awful, and it just encourages more. The design is bad and uninspiring. The amount of time they spent on it dared me to be too hopeful, perhaps...
  24. Foie gras can either be produced using natural or forced feeding methods - if you are worried about the ethics, it may be wise to try to see which of these two methods the foie gras named in the outlets above falls into. I have seen pictures of forced feeding methods and it is absolutely monstrous - it lingers in the mind. There is some controversy around natural feeding methods too (it still enlarges the liver, which can lead the animal to feeling very sick in the days up to to its slaughter), so every individual has to make the decision on what they feel comfortable about eating.
  25. Picturehouse aren't really indie anymore (think they got bought by Cineworld), so if it was a choice, I would rather have an Everyman or a Curzon (and get a bit of variation in the local area). However, I don't mean to sound fussy, and I'd be extremely happy to see any of them on the Lane!
