  1. No.
  2. Actually, I had a friend staying from Highgate for the weekend and we looked at the market in North Corss Road before having some coffee.... it was only when we were walking back later that we realised some of the stalls were facing the road! I said to him, that jewellery looks gorgeous and he said 'too late, I'm hungry' so we repaired to the EDT for a roast. So I think the facing the road thing doesn't work much.
  3. I'm sorry but why is it ONLY ED station that is closed??? Every second weekend?? Engineering works my arse!!!

  6. 'East dulwich police were absolutely fantastic and drove me around the area looking for the suspect and drove me home. It restored my faith in human nature' Er - that's their job?... or is their job to prevent crime/ actually catch criminals, which they seem to be pretty p*ss poor at?

  8. Do you have children of school age using the other bathroom in the house, perchance?

Hmmm.... know the regulars do you.... not by any chance a 'helpful staff member' ?
  10. Sorry for abandoning the thread but I've been violently ill after eating some fish bought from - you guessed it. Failed to notice the use by date of 12 June when I got and ate it last weekend.
  11. If they're in the street and you can see them, then chuck rocks at them.
  12. I heard this too! keeerrr azy! - Tim O'Leary.
  13. There are about seven wearing blue out there now, I just got chugged four times between Northcross road and the Bishop.

  18. It's the most poorly disorganised shop I've ever been in.
  19. yuck! don't swim in public pools - ewwwwww. If you can't swim in the ocean (or a lake) - don't swim. Go for a run instead. I'm from NZ and I love to swim and surf but I would never DREAM of swimming in a gym pool or a lido. get outdoors and go for a walk in the park. and it's hygiene.
  20. This is an EXCELLENT idea!Am definitely in!!!
  21. I agree with Sue. The co op is far too expensive. But cheap chicken ... how ??
  22. I fear ed_pete, while he has the best intentions, is dangerously naive. I've been to these 'so called' chicken farms and they are warehouses with cages of chickens stacked on top of each other, beaks and claws cut off. its a disgusting experience and i wouldn't wish it on anyone. which is why, and i'm not rich, i would rather eat veges four nights a week.
