Elm grove... Yes I certainly do say something if I see an owner not noticing (deliberately or not) their dog messing. As for poo on wheels... I try my hardest to avoid it but I don't go to the park to keep my eyes to the ground!!! Yes, it is from wheeling over grass... Even in dog restricted areas!! Like I said I am not a dog hater but hate the consequences of some if their actions around children and adults.

I feel that this is a great idea. I am not a hater of dogs but I do feel that there are some very irresponsible dog owners/walkers that use Peckham Rye park. My son was chased by a dog, with it barking and biting at his ankles. Since then he is, obviously, petrified of dogs. We hear words such as "it's ok, my dog loves children and won't hurt them..." But I totally disagree. Who knows what turns dogs to savage people/ other dogs but it does and can happen. Apart from this fear, I am totally fed up of returning from the park and having to clean bike and pushchair wheels that are coveted in dog mess. It repulses me and infuriates me that there ARE irresponsible owners out there. Several times I have witnessed owners looking the other way trying not to notice that actually their dog is having a poo! So, I welcome the questionnaire... I'd certainly have my honest say!!

Wow, lovely to hear so many stories. I had my daughter at 28 weeks and she was 2lb 2. It was frightening to see such a tiny thing and yes I did worry even though it was my second child. She stayed in NICU for a week and then moved to SCBU for five weeks. She came home weighing just 4lbs. It did take her a little longer to do things, e.g smile but now at 18 months apart from being small you wouldn't know. She began to walk at 1 year and is the most adventurous thing!!! She did have to have her ears and eyes checked a lot at the beginning but all ok! Kings hospital were totally amazing and I can't praise them enough. Your friend needs to be reassured that babies born this early have a great success rate. Whilst we were in NICU there was a 24 Weeker and she is doing great today. Maybe it would be nice for us to have a premmie meet up?? Good luck with your pregnancy! Xx

After having my placenta abrupt and baby arriving three months early I can't thank Kings enough. They were just amazing. Have you considered having the baby at kings? Good luck with baby number 2 !

Totally agree with you jummyv. It is nasty and I along with my young children are fed up of dodging it on the pavements. As to how many times u have had to wash it off the buggy wheels that's another thread!!!!

scotch replied to Family Room Moderator's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi all, Would love to meet up with you too. Baby was due in may but arrived in Feb. We had to stay away from crowds until she reached the due date ( which was two weeks ago!) so would love to meet up at your next meeting if possible! Thanks. -
I have great admiration for all staff at Kings in the A and E dept. Seems like it is my second home there and are amazing. Infact the staff on Sam Oram ward are also amazing and some of those nurses need mire recognition than they get! Whilst I am praising the staff at Kings I would also like to say that my baby was born at 28 weeks and spent tube in NICU and SCBU- amazing amazing amazing staff there too!!

Can anyone help with nurseries in Beckenham?
scotch replied to Sally81's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi. We used little sunflowers. It is next to Marian vine school although nothing to do with the school. The owner, Jackie is lovely and the rooms are very big. Pity I have moved out of the area or I would be sending my newborn there when I return to work!? -
Buy a season ticket on line!! If you have already bought tickets when you get there you can go to membership kiosk and get this taken off the price if the ticket. I can guarantee that you will want to go back time and time again in the year!!! The firework display is spectacular!! Have a super day!!

Tj, so simple hey.... Just buy another car?? !! Have you really no idea how ridiculous that suggestion is?
-
It's great that they are going to be looked at. I seriously think they will find either the shape or height wrong. It's ok fir people to say they are ok to drive over, try living on the road and having to put up with the noise they create when cars brake to get over them.

We have a great hospital in Kings.....
scotch replied to DJKillaQueen's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Kings is my second home! I have a fantastic cardiology team looking after me and they really do go the extra mile. I have been admitted so many times to A and E and they too are just amazing . I know that I am so very fortunate to be under such a great hospital. I have visited several other hospitals both in the uk and abroad and nothing comes close to Kings. Staff work very long hours , deal with some very arrogant and rude patients and I can't praise them enough. Love them all and without their care, support and vast knowledge on hearts I may not be here today. -
Any news on this yet?
-
James, I do hope that your help will be able to rectify these humps. Living with one right outside my house has caused a lot of vibrations and noise pollution. I hope this can be rectified soon for the sake of drivers who are damaging their cars.
-
I am so glad that I am not the only one who thinks this ! Leaving on Dunstans road I understand that there is a need to slow down traffic but not to this extent. We constantly hear cars breaking and then the scraping of the bottom of the car! Ouch!!! Would love to hear from anybody who knows the regulations!!

Advice please - nappy disposal system...get it or not?
scotch replied to Ernie&Kopka's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I bought one and realised what a waste of many with all of the refills you have to buy for it. Nappy bags and bin is just as good!! Sold mine for 50p on car boot!!! -
Lanzarote - always very windy, barren and not a pleasant holiday at all. (might be biased though as spent 3 days in hospital!!!!) glad to get out of the country !!
