  1. I'd like to share this with you... I had a baby 6 months ago and found that Yoga has helped me significantly in so many ways; To lose the baby weight, regain core strength, stretch out the tension stored in my shoulders after breast feeding for 5 months and finally but importantly give myself a well deserved break and to focus on myself (even if only for an hour a week). I also teach Yoga and have taught in East Dulwich since 2006, when I set up Dulwich Yoga Space. I've literally just returned to teaching (at beginning of Jan) after my maternity leave and decided to set up a daytime Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class so that other local Mums can benefit from a class that is suitable for them. I've attached a poster with more info and contact details. This class will start on the 14th Feb and will run every Tuesday from 10.30am to 11.30am. Numbers are limited to 12 students to ensure a high level of attention for each individual. Mats are provided, if you need to borrow one. Feel free to PM, email or call me if you have any queries. Warm wishes, Karen x www.dulwichyogaspace.co.uk
  2. Hey Ladies, My baby is nearly 6 months old and I've managed to get back to the same weight I was before, although I'm not as toned. It maybe that I'm a Yoga Teacher so therefore at a bit of an advantage. However, I stopped buying biscuits and ice-cream (which I ate loads of when pregnant) and continued to practise Yoga regularly once my son arrived. I'm returning to my classes as of next week and I'm planning on setting up a daytime Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class on Tuesdays from 10-11am or 10.30-11.30am (time is yet to be decided). The venue is close to Sainsburys. I recently posted on the forum to see what level of interest there is for a daytime class and so far have potentially half filled the class. I didn't think to post in the Family Room until I saw this thread. If anyone is interested please either reply or PM me. For more info - www.dulwichyogaspace.co.uk
  3. A quick update.... I've received my appointment to see a dietician at the allergy clinic at Kings! The earliest appointment is the 8th June! So, it seems I need to do my own research... Nanny care Goats milk is fortified and may be used to replace daily milk intake. However, I'm aware my son needs his iron levels increased as now nearly 6 months old and his store is depleting. Nannycare provide 0.71 mg per 100ml prepared drink. Does anyone know how much iron is needed for a baby of this age and is this enough for him? Supplements required? Minder - I couldn't find St Helens at Sainsburys. Have you found it anywhere else?
  4. Strawbs - Your nappy query has come at the right time for me as I'm not trying to decide which ones to buy. As well as your breast pump query!
  5. Hello, I'm due in July. Not sure if I can make the 8th, but if I can make it i'll swing by for food / chat. I already practise a lot of Yoga so will pass on the Pilates but think it's a great idea to prepare the body physically. It's nice to hear that everyone else feels like they've been preggers for an eternity! I'm sooo over this bump malarkey, hoping the remainder of the time will fly by. xxx
  6. Hello, I'm considering buying an Oyster Pram but want to try first / see if it fits in car etc. Mothercare (Old Kent Roadf) do not have them in store, have to buy online?! I've tried calling local 'baby shops' but not one of them answers their phone!!! (Don't they want my business?) Can anyone recommend where to go to try out an Oyster Pram? Or make a recommendation of where to go to buy prams? (I'm a mum to be and all this baby shopping is a little new to me). Thanks,
