  1. FOUND - thank you to everyone who helped look for Oscar. He was found behind a bike shed and is now happily home. Hi Our gorgeous British Blue cat Oscar has gone missing from Dunstans Grove/Road area. He isn?t yet one and is an indoor cat so isn?t the most street smart. So if you are reading this please could you check your house, garden and shed as I think he?ll probably be hiding somewhere. My children miss him a lot and we would greatly appreciate all the help we can get in getting him home. Thank you x
  2. Hi. I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for primary level tutors. Someone who doesn?t cost a fortune and makes learning fun? Thanks in advance
  3. Our Cat Toby has gone missing, we live on Dunstans Grove so please can anyone in that area keep a watch out for him. He is a grey tabby with a white neck and tummy. He is only 8 months old and has only just started going outside so probably isn?t very streetwise yet. He is microchipped too.
  4. Hi Just wondered if anyone has any experience of Alleyns Gymnastics and would recommend? Thanks in advance!
  5. Had Mike come back to replace some more spotlights last week. Again he did a great job. He actually turned up with the wrong colour fitting but went straight back to the shop, exchanged them and made sure that he finished the work in the same day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
  6. I would also like to add my recommendation for HomeCert. Mike was our electrician and he was brilliant from the start. We needed a number of spotlights in our kitchen replaced and he replied quickly to my initial emails. Whilst he was here he was friendly, tidy, efficient and most importantly he was considerate towards my three children making sure they weren't near any of the tools and sweeping up any sharp bits that might hurt them.
  7. Zippos circus for a 3 and 6 year old? Any good? Thanks!
  8. Hi I know this is an old post but I wondered if anyone had any bedtime tips as that's the part I'm struggling with. Previously my two would have bath and story together and be asleep by 7 but now the new baby is here my almost 5 year old won't stay in bed, she is up and down like a yoyo until 8 or 9 and it sometimes escalates into huge temper tantrums. Should I maybe put my 2 year old to bed first and then my 5 year old? What do other do? I can't put her in front of the TV as that makes her hyper!
  9. Hi I attended the Rosendale breast feeding cafe on Wednesday and found out that in 3 months time kings intend to close them all down. These cafes, along with Anna Cannon have helped me feed all three of my children over the last five years and I think it is a mistake for kings to shut them down. They have been a lifeline for so many new mothers all who have struggled with breastfeeding and it is a huge shame that other new mums to be won't be able to benefit from this service. Please take some time to sign this petition and show our support for these wonderful cafes. https://www.change.org/p/kings-college-nhs-trust-save-kings-community-breastfeeding-clinics X
  10. Hi Looking for a recomendation for a lactation consultant that does home visits. I am three days post c section and struggling to feed, there is a question over a posterior tongue tie but as I have 2 other children I really need someone that will come to the house. Thanks in advance. Kate
  11. Hi I am looking for a childminder for my son a couple of days a week. He is almost 2 and never been left with anyone so I think it's about time he became a bit more independent and mixed with some other children. Especially seeing as I am expecting another baby in a few months time. I am completely flexible on days and times as I don't work so if any childminders reading this have space please pm me or if anyone can recommend their childminder that would be great. Thanks in advance Kate
  12. Hi Just wondered if anyone had any contact details for the gymnastics classes at Fairlawn school. My daughter is very keen to start gym but struggling to find classes. Thanks Kate
  13. Hi I'm looking into hiring an entertainer for my daughters 4th birthday and wondered if anyone had any experience of the above? Thanks in advance!
  14. Hi We have had some bad experiences with cleaners so hoping someone can recommend a good cleaner to me. We live in a 4 bed house in East Dulwich. Thanks Kate
  15. Hi I was hoping that some of you lovely mummies would be able to give me some nursery recommendations. We live near Dunstans Road but I get a bus to work from Lordship Lane so anywhere inbetween there would be great. Thanks
  16. Hi I went through exactly the same dilemma as I was adamant I wanted a natural birth and the thought of a c-section really disappointed me so I went into Kings to have the ECV and whilst the midwife was getting me ready she actually said that if it was her she wouldn't have the procedure done. Therefore I decided not to go ahead and booked in to have a c-section instead. The success rate at kings is actually only about 21% or something which also helped make up my mind. I know people who have had the procedure and it was fine and others whop say it was incredibly uncomfortable. For me it just didn't seem natural and I believe that if a baby is breech there is probably a reason for it and I would rather have a planned c-section rather than emergency. Good luck with your decision. x
  17. Hi Pippa I wonderd if you had any vacancies in September for a one year old girl? Thanks
