I feel like this is classic council behaviour at the moment. Underfunded and trying to find some easy money without properly thinking things through or consulting. My sons both go to the Belham. It?s a great school and a wonderful community but the business case they submitted over 12 months ago has been totally ignored.

Any update from the Peckham meeting please? I couldn?t make it.

I wanted to add a further recommendation for Helen and Steve and their team. They came in after we had an extension built and put up some amazing looking fences on both sides, boarded the neighbour's side, and then re-turfed the lawn that had been trashed by the builders. They worked around our builders and did part of the work in the autumn and came back in the spring to finish off. They were flexible and we left them keys to our house so they could put up the fencing while we were away. Helen also gave some free garden advice with it. Very happy indeed.

We have a 12 week old baby and we are looking at nurseries (bit late given usual Waiting lists etc!) A friend recommended Piplings on Peckham Rye but despite sending them an email and calling every other day for 2 weeks, I still haven't managed to get in touch with anyone to arrange a tour or talk about the waiting list. Anyone have any comments about the admin there generally? Is it overall pretty inefficient? And was my friend right to be so positive in the first place? I'm beginning to have my doubts... Be good to hear any views. Thanks.

Hello all We have a new baby and we are starting to think about childcare. Can anyone please give me an idea of the rough cost of a 3 day a week sole charge nanny, all in including tax and NI? I guess hours would be 8.15 to 6.15. How are the costs different if it's a nanny share? I've tried to look it up on the web but finding it hard to fathom the answer so hoping that some ED families out there might be able to help me. Thanks very much for your thoughts.
