Essential shops (other than food) needed in ED
AllforNun replied to chica1's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I would love to see a good Mothercare and a really big HSamuel's, ooh and also an Argos, supersized as the Peckham one is really busy. Oh and a wimpy just to be different, there are too many McDonalds and Burger kings around -
I am serious if that spunk dries around your Pedi-Medic Sandals you will be stuck here for an age.....get going and don't believe any of these well wishers, they all love a spicy fete.

Digital Britain Report - State Sponsored Media Service
AllforNun replied to AllforNun's topic in The Lounge
No speculation spank monkey and do me a favour - "the consultation period - during which members of the public were free to contribute - is over" What the hell are you ? i am intrigued ....animal, vegetable or mineral ! -
No it's not they are both CRACK PITS bubbling with the drying spunk of debauched summer fete's - I suggest you move NOW, grab your things and go , go now i tell you. Leave your Radio times and your prized collection of wooden mushrooms and get the hell out of dodge while you still can.

The soon to be released digital Britain report will effectively draw the lines around what is good for government and state. The BBC will be handed even more power, effectively already heavily indebted to the government, it's online news service will become even 'softer' if that's possible, there will also be a stern warning about expenses - just for the headlines ! To counter this they will claim that freedom of speech and democracy, not to mention slightly rebellious broadcasting, is being saved as they throw a lifeline to Channel4. They will omit to mention that Channel4 has long been pushed into the bosom of the BBC, having been overrun by ex BBC staff and government pressure in the run up to the funding issue. ITN the a thorn in the side of government SPIN will be given a sink or swim option and ITV will just get decimated. So Murdoch on one side and the spectre of Whitehall on the other....... meanwhile we will all continue to sleep.

I am sure mr popadopolis that even you understood the reference to the dolphins in relation to the Hitch Hikers and ED !
-
Ayres is open and as busy and wonderful as ever, our wonderful fishmongers has had a little makeover and looks even better and the produce is still as good as ever. The funeral directors is still there and doing great, lots of bodies coming in from ED you stabbings, garroting's, swine flu etc ! Brilliant greengrocers and butchers lovely little restaurant and great pubs and the new library garden is coming on strong and it looks like finally there is some movement on the regeneration project. This Saturday is the great Nunhead Cemetery Open Day, great fun and worth the visit for the owls alone. There will also be some open graves you can test them for size and reserve them if they feel ok, we should be digging most of the day so catch one of us at the open day and we will pick out a nice spot near an organic bush or such like. Talking of organic bush how is the ED knocking shop doing ?

..........not really they were met equally at the negotiating table because a Chinnock went down in bad weather in scotland wiping out the ENTIRE British top team in absolutely every area in one fell swoop. It would have taken 20+ years for the government to replace that kind of experience, time was running out because the city of london needed to expand and needed guarantees. Some of the guys on board were running top top level informers that even parts of the government did not know about. -
christ keef you jumped ship quick, i just had the badges printed, This was going to be an obama - biden Dream ticket....i'd done a wonderful sketch of what i thought you would look like, Keith Allen meets Steve Mcqueen with a little touch of perry groves thrown in. Thank you keef I accept your nomination, although I do love the area and would not need a second home, as I am being generously housed at present. The only problem would be that I would not be able to campaign between the hours of 6.30pm and 7am. Campaign Manifesto 1. Bring the road, signage and crossings on the Nunhead of Peckham Rye up to the same quality as the road on the ED side. 2. Armed patrols, South African stylee on Barry Road. 3. Force Boss Man wines to change the signage or face bankruptcy 4. Water Cannons patrolling LL, any gurners get instantly doused. 5. Low Rider, fitted with UV lights and full on sound system, to pull up outside foxtons every Saturday afternoon, and use its hydraulic bump system for about 20mins 6. Free bread from ED Deli to be handed out once a year outside Sainsbury?s 7. P13 to be torched on goose green and replaced by a fleet of electric min buses, connecting Bellenden, Queens Road, Nunhead, West Dulwich and ED. 8. Thorough cleaning of a number of ED cafe's on Lordship lane, think Kim and Aggie. 9. Tuna Tasting week along Lordship Lane - Uk Skipjack vs Euro yellowfin 10. Open Brand of Rough Trade Records on LL 11. Children?s Arch Bridge to be built, connecting Goose Green playground to the Green. 12 Wonderful New play area for Peckham Rye Park and finish of the Basketball courts and youth area to the standard of Dulwich Park 13. Huge Mentoring push around SE15 SE22. 14. How to make multiple cups of coffee at the same time, compulsory training course for all cafes in the area. 15. Shut the town hall for 2 weeks, giving all paid councillors a short holiday and pay break. Use the money to re-invest and re-open the Livesey Museum. Council leader Nick Stanton will be sent on a 2 month sabatical to research UK childrens museums.

"Come in my back door, and rob my house? " careful what you wish for Keef, especially if you dwell ED, what with the explosion in cocaine prices, you may well get your wish, some of the organic folk out on a san antonio lane night out don't care how they get their money !
