We’re on Overhill and our Mail delivery has deteriorated badly since our regular, friendly & reliable postie got moved to a different patch at the beginning of May. Lots of missing letters, birthday cards etc. We managed to get some, but not all of the missing post, by going down to the sorting office in Highshore Road, Peckham.

On recent nights a man wearing a hi-viz jacket and head lamp has been spotted approaching several properties after midnight on Overhill Road and acting suspiciously. Our door camera shows him doing something around the area of our front door lock. He didn’t ring the bell or put anything through the letterbox, so hard to believe he was doing anything legitimate. update: Apparently could have been a British Gas worker investigating leak, although still seems a bit odd.

Royal Mail is worse than ever. I?m still waiting for a package sent from Burgess Hill on 7th April by Special Delivery -supposedly guaranteed delivery by 1pm next day. Also still waiting for a package sent first class on 26th March. We did get some post today but 3 letters were for a completely different road! Truly lamentable service from Royal Mail.

Thanks. A piece of advice I would give to homeowners is not to place too much faith in the sort of safes you can buy at B&Q. We had placed most of our valuables in one of these, bolted to an external wall, but the burgler managed to break the locking mechanism and empty the entire contents of the safe.

We're towards the Underhill Rd end. Police officer said there was another burglary on Overhill yesterday and several burglaries in the Dulwich area reported last night as burglars took advantage of police resources being tied up with the school stabbing.

We were burgled yesterday on Overhill Road. They smashed through rear garden double glazed door after climbing over 9 foot high side passage entrance. Probably happened between 4.30pm and 6.10pm but could have taken place earlier in the day. Did anyone see anything suspicious?

We were without water from late morning until early evening yesterday. Back to full pressure now though.
