  1. Reminds me of a recent interview with Daniel Craig when he said he and his then girlfriend had nicked a chicken from a supermarket - he justified this by saying something along the lines of "we only stole from shops that could afford it". Let's hope he never gets mugged or burgled - how would he feel if the 'perp' said "well he could afford it"...

I appreciate that, however not one person on the bus said a word. He was standing near the driver and I was sitting at the back so everyone could hear him. The driver did/said nothing (on both buses). It was still very frightening and upsetting for me - both what he said and the fact that no-one intervened.
  4. I was a number 3 bus recently - this man started shouting at me that I was personally responsible for slavery and that he was going to rape me, then get his mates to rape me and then they were going to chop me up into little bits and eat me for the "white slave trade bitch you are".... No-one on the bus said a word and let him carry on for 20 minutes. He got off at Lambeth Town Hall and I got off at Brixton station to go into (the dreaded M&S) a shop.... He was then waiting at the number 3 bus stop and as I got back on a number 3 he followed me and started his tirade against me again.... It was only when a lady with a buggy and small children got on and complained about his language that anyone said anything.... I didn't think at the time to film it on my phone as I didn't want to enrage him further....
  5. Reported from my home town on the coast, Asda home delivery service was abandoned the other evening - the delivery schedule went out the window due to the length of time it took for deliveries to be unpacked, sans bags.....

May be a bit too far but if you can make it to West Wickham.... - went there last week, 16oz ribeye, with sauce, sweet potato chips (or other sides), wedge salad with dressing and a big slice of onion loaf was ?24.95 - it was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked (rare) and a decent wine list.... http://www.millerandcarter.co.uk/restaurants/london/millerandcarterbromley

  12. I booked a last minute, single, holiday to Los Cristianos in Tenerife many years ago... Flight was, of course, delayed and so I pitched up at 3am, tired, hungry, irritable and a bit tearful... Receptionist threw the key at me, opened the door to the room which was grubby at best; couldn't be bothered to unpack so just threw back the covers and was about to get some shut eye when I saw a pizza box in the bed, complete with half-eaten pizza which had been used as an ashtray.... Receptionist said "we're full, no more rooms" - I yelled "get me another room NOW" - to her credit she did....
  13. Days - Kirsty MacColl
  14. Oliver Reed was my school friend's godfather. At her tenth birthday party we were all sitting round eating jelly and ice cream and he burst in, drunk as a lord and entertained us fantastically for the next two hours... Forty years later and I can still see him laughing and larking about.... triumph Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Way back in the 70's I worked in Hertfordshire and > chanced upon a couple of guys who built swimming > pools for high end punters.
