  1. This web page lists some companies that recycle CDs https://www.reducereuserecycle.co.uk/where_can_I_recycle/cds_and_dvds.php
  2. SOLD, pending collection Lord of the Rings chess set, 2001 edition. Never used. Box a bit squished and chess board a bit warped from being in storage, see pictures. Pieces all in mint condition. £10 please, collection from close to Peckham Rye Park.
  3. The injured goose could not be returned due to be considered an invasive species. He had to stay with the wildlife rescue. Whether it's the same female breeding with another male now, or a different pair, who knows. I have photos from a very similar time last year (see attached from 1 Feb 2024) and the year before, as the Egyptian geese always surprise me with their earliness, but all (most?) of the goslings made it to adulthood last year, so it's a strategy that works for them.
  4. Yes, I'm aware of that. I believe the brood was five to begin with. However they are almost adult size now so not the prey of rats any longer.
  5. Worried as only two Egyptian goslings at the pond this evening. Both parents in attendance. The three of them were looking very healthy this morning. Did anyone see anything?
  6. You can request for them to come and collect your full bins again https://forms.southwark.gov.uk/ShowForm.asp?fm_fid=1879 They usually come on whatever day your rubbish/recycling collection day is. If you aren't going to be in, leave them somewhere that they can find it. If you don't need replacements, just leave a note on the full ones that a replacement isn't needed. They usually come quite early, so it's better to leave them outside if you can.
  7. Found last night between Marmora Road and Benchley Gardens on Forest Hill Road. Surname is Pearson, first name is illegible. If it's yours please get in touch.
  8. Thank you very much. I've not seen any ads for animals since you've done this. 🙂
  9. Hi, the rules of the forum do not allow for the giving away or selling of animals. Several times I have been served Google ads from dog breeders. I've not set up google ads before, so I'm not sure how easy it is to restrict them from displaying this kind of ad on the forum, but if possible please do so. I've been reporting them as inappropriate whenever I've seen them. Thank you!
  10. Your evidence is very clear. Thanks. They were still packing up in the opposite corner, so hopefully they'll have more litter pickers out today.
  11. We took our dog for a walk there today and the litter situation is much better than you describe. We didn't spot any of the things you mention, so I assume they have had a really good clean up. Obviously there's lots of damaged grass, but at least it's safe now.
  12. I found a silver ring with purple stone on Ryedale, just off Forest Hill Road. Let me know if it?s yours.
  13. Not useful on its own, but we have one that you can borrow. We use it our allotment, useful as a boot scraper. If you can find another?
  14. Thank you for posting, I've seen this cat around for a while now, as you say he looks well cared for, but is definitely not neutered. If you don't get a reply to the paper collar, I'm happy to collect him if you manage to get him and take him to the Neighbourhood Vet or Celia Hammond's to be scanned for a chip, if you don't have a cat basket. He doesn't come in our garden, so I haven't managed to get close to him.
  15. Peter did some work for us too earlier this year - front path and front garden. As well as completing the work to a great standard, he was on time, tidy, polite and reasonably priced. I would recommend him!
  16. Have you tried the tips from Cats Protection on attracting him home? https://www.cats.org.uk/help-and-advice/lost-found-and-feral-cats/lost-a-cat I know some have had luck with things like putting litter trays outside (if he used one), so the smell brings him home Good luck! Hope he's home soon
  17. I remember seeing them on the Gardens bus stop shelter. I haven't seen them for a while.
  18. According to https://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgFindMember.aspx?XXR=0&AC=POSTCODE&sPC=SE21%207AB it's in the Dulwich Village ward so Richard Leeming and Margy Newens
  19. My other half had his first AZ jab on Friday, he had a headache and fatigue, and ached all over, especially on Saturday, but is feeling fine today.
  20. Their vans must be being followed? Our box was more carefully hidden this morning, so Oddbox must be aware?
  21. I work in Kent. Kent CC have gone for the attached approach, saying that it has a greater effect, rather than the negative insults of the NZ poster shown above. (Don't know if it does, the park close to my office still has obvious litter problems after a sunny weekend.) There was a discussion about this in one of the local Facebook groups, and there were loads of people saying that we pay our council tax for the council to clean up the parks, and there should be more bins, completely rejecting any suggestion that people should take their rubbish home if the bins are full. I just don't get it.
  22. Cats Protection have some suggestions as to what to do, don't know if you've tried all of them? If you are on Facebook, there are some local pages that you could try posting on? Good luck! I hope she is home soon.
  23. I regularly (at least once/daily) use the Reset new posts button after reading in here that it helps with the speed of the forum. Every now and then, something seems to go wrong with that and the number of new threads & posts jumps up - as in attached pic. I haven't blocked cookies and the ad blocker is turned off for the forum. It's not a big deal, but thought I'd bring it to admin's attention. Cheers
  24. Just had a first class letter posted on 4 March delivered. 2 weeks to travel 30 miles.
