  1. Great, that's helpful - thanks
  2. Has anyone braved IKEA since it reopened? Just wondering how bad the queues are...
  3. My 10-year-old lost his skateboard near the Court Lane Gate of Dulwich Park on Saturday afternoon. It has purple and green wheels and has a fish underneath with stickers on. It might have been just inside the park or possibly near the corner of Eynella Road and Court Lane. If anyone has found it please let me know. He is distraught. Thank you!
  4. Great, many thanks
  5. I've not been down Camberwell Grove for about 18 months. Can you drive all the way down it now or is it still closed halfway down? Thanks!
  6. In Dulwich Library area, not working most of the day for 6 days now. Terrible automated customer service telling me each day that the problem will be fixed later that day. Anyone else know what is going on or got a satisfactory response from Virgin?
  7. That's great - thanks so much
  8. I remember in the past Zippos handing out leaflets with discount codes when they were in the area. Just wondering if anyone has one for this year? Thanks!

I'm going to take it to the vet to see if it's microchipped if it carries on. Good luck with your search.

Actually I've just compared their markings and although very similar there are a couple of small differences that make me think it's not the same cat.
  11. A large tabby has been in and out of our house on Court Lane several times today (and is currently miaowing to be let in). But I'm pretty sure it is male. But it does look like a very similar Tabby to yours. Have you found yours yet? And if not, is she very large (long)?
  12. Can anyone suggest a good film for a boy's 9th birthday sleepover party? Something that is not going to freak the kids out so they can't sleep, but exciting enough that they will want to keep watching. Funny could be good. They've all seen all the Star Wars movies already and aren't interested in superheroes. Thanks!
  13. Does anyone have any suggestions for a party venue that puts on a creative activity for (6-year-old) kids? We've already done the ceramics cafe and pizza making. Something arty/crafty would be perfect. Willing to travel up to a couple of miles out of ED if necessary. We can't have it at home. Thanks!
  14. Does anyone know of any event (NCT sale/church hall event, that kind of thing) where I can sell toys and baby/kids clothes that our family has outgrown, before Christmas? I've got too much to list on the forum. Many thanks all!
  15. Is there somewhere floodlit within a 10 minute drive of ED to play tennis in the evenings? I'd rather not have to join a club permanently as I'm playing with my brother who is only local for the next 2 months (obviously happy to pay per session if necessary though). Many thanks for any suggestions
  16. We were 14th on the waiting list when I asked back in May. I telephoned Lewisham today and was told a letter had been posted to us but they could not confirm or deny whether it was an offer. We have not had a telephone call, however. Anyone know how places are being allocated? We had accepted our 2nd choice but asked to stay on the waiting list. Is it possible that children who were offered none of their 6 are being offered places first? Thanks for any info
  17. I did this course a year ago and really enjoyed it, so I'd second that recommendation.
  18. Oh, shame. Thanks for letting me know
  19. Apparently the water was off yesterday. Just wondering if anyone went today and knows whether they've filled the paddling pool again because of the hot weather. (sorry - not strictly East Dulwich but I'm thinking of going tomorrow) Thanks
  20. Vixster250, I've just driven via the south circular up Wood Vale and behind Horniman with no sign of trouble. Can't vouch for out front.
  21. Something to do on a tuesday afternoon would be great as I don't know of anything else, but nearer three might be better as it would be a bit of a rush to squeeze in a nap and lunch
  22. Thanks everyone. He had a fever last night (39.8) so I took him back to the GP today and she's given me a different type of drops to try, although she said it is possible that it's a virus. In fact his eyes seem less weepy today so perhaps the fever was his body's attempt to shake of the infection/virus. Thanks for all your suggestions/experiences
  23. Thanks Lochie. Yes, we've not had a problem getting them in, but the prescription (for something called Fucithalmic fusidic acid) says one drop twice a day, so maybe that's something I should ask the doc about.
  24. Yes, freeze to kill the eggs, and wash everything. When my mum had moths we systematically put everything in bin bags and then didn't put each item of clothing back in the cupboard until it had been dry cleaned or frozen and washed. That should get rid of the eggs and deter the adults from laying again as they are less interested in clean clothes. They like any kind of natural fabrics - wool, linen, silk, cotton etc. Carpets can be a problem.
