  1. We are in SE15, near Bellenden Rd and have been having on and off issues with Virgin since signing up. Recently poor again in the evenings / weekends, been told it's down to capacity issues / replacement of cables, now to be fixed by end of March (I just got deja-vu as I been told the same story for >12 months now...)
  2. Hiya, we've been going to TryTime (kiddies) Rugby: it's a real fun class; for that age group playing games like what's the time, Mr. Wolf, clambering over obstacle courses and kicking& throwing a ball. It's on Sat 10-11 and 11-12 at Belair park - highly recommended! http://www.trytimekidsrugby.com/dulwich/
  3. Argh, OH managed to mess up drop off - only found out late tonight, is anywhere still accepting coats tomorrow?
  4. Sorry if an obvious question, but what are your half term opening times?
  5. I've heard good things about Walters Family School of Taekwondo (http://www.walterstaekwondo.com/) - not tried it though
  6. No ideas here but I've been thinking the same: wamt to get my 5yr old boy used to idea that everyone has to contribute to the running of the house...
  7. We still have the same capacity issues - was told by Virgin the upgrade is now due in December. I have a case of deja vu: was told exactly the same last year! During the day get 20+ in the evenings often down to 2-3mb...
  8. > Just out of interest how much per day did they offer you? No discount per day - they offered not to increase price, give me ?7.10 off / month for oversubscribed service and if broadband goes down completely, they pay something like ?2/day that it's off. Only reason I'm still with virgin is because they seem (?) to be all as bad as each other regarding broadband but virgin customer service is friendly - unlike BT (bad experience) or Sky (from what I hear).

Rarely get that) They offered to determine increase plus ?7.10 pretty month off while the issue of over demand is not solved (I'm not holding my breath it ever will...)
  10. I phoned Virgin as thei broadband ccontinues tohave pproblemsso tthey'renot ggoing to increas the bill till problem fixed, plus giving me some money off for loss of service. I'd rather it worked,though...we only use broadband though
  11. Hi, good for you to think about going freelance. Yes it can work, but needs thinking through. I'll happily share my experience as well as what I know how others have made it work, send me a pm if interested. Mx .
  12. Sounds odd. I had my phone stolen a couple of years ago, called O2 who blocked the sim, sent me a new one and I kept my number no problem. I was on a monthly plan, though... Call them again, my experience from virgin broadband is that different support staff can provide very different answers to problems....Good luck!
  13. Hi Minitoots no direct advice, but a friend of mine who is a brilliant coach to creative people told me about this event on social media: https://www.besmartaboutart.com/event/247/social-media-for-creative-professionals - I know it's short notice but they also might have other resources that might help? best of luck!
  14. They are talking about this on Radio 2 just now
  15. That Theresa May statement - I know it's a negotiation ploy, but I do feel horrible for being a pawn in this, essentially...
  16. Agreed, thought it'squite hard to explain this feeling. And applying for citizenship is not exactly cheap either! midivydale Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "People who are not in our boat talk about > citizenship like it was just forms. Cold calling

I've been getting the "recent accident" one lately - despite asking to be removed from any calling lists (and being with TPS). They even called my mobile while I was abroad! I certainly haven't had an accident in the last 10+ years, and it looks odd to have a spade of these calls in this area?
  20. I believe there is something going around but you should try and speak to the Dr. And make sure you get fluids in him... hope he feels better soon!
  21. What kind of dance where you thinking of?
  22. What travel sickness tablets are using? We had something that was called (rather funnily) "joy rides", which worked well, but don't seem to be available anywhere anymore....
  23. Just spoken to Virgin, they still say issues are due to oversubscription but my area (Goose Green) will be fixed as part of their investment program by 30 Mar. Not holding my breath, but got ?10 of monthly bill, including backdated for 2 months when it started being an issue here...
