  1. We are a couple of streets away from CP Road but have a cat of that description come into our garden for months now - we started feeding it because it was getting thinner. Tried paper collar but it rips them off. The cat here as a distinctive white patch on the front -I've attached some pics, too
  2. This shop has saved my skin and sanity many times over the years when I had needed last-minute gifts to bring to birthday parties, treat my son to a little something, or get an all-important water toy for the paddling pool... I've been told that since lockdown ended, they have seen a big drop in footfall in the shop at Goose Green - please, if you need toys, games, picture books or slime (who doesn't ;) ) give them a go! Staff are lovely and always happy to help, even tracked down hard-to-get lego sets for me in the past! (no affiliation with the shop other than being a frequent shopper)
  3. Hey! Welcome to the area! For a holiday club, you might want to check out Nimble arts - my son loved them when he was your kids' age. They still have availability according to their website: https://www.nimblearts.co.uk/2021-prices-and-availability Good luck!
  4. There was a small black cat with a white spot below her neck and on her right front paw seen on Linnell Road, Camberwell. A bit far maybe but if the description fits yours? Someone posted it on the "Nextdoor" app. Good luck!
  5. Thank you for letting me know - fixed now!
  6. Hi This cat has been visiting our garden for quite some time (not a problem) but recently (last 2 weeks) he/she has become quite needy and seemingly very hungry. We have given some dry food and water. It generally seems to get on ok with our cat but I want to check that he/she has an owner and is looked after. Area: Nutbrook/Gowlett/Adys/Fenwick Road

I had looked into hiring in the past but it was very expensive (possibly because we go during school holidays/ bank holidays...). INsurance and servicing has been very low, so even with the ?12.5 for driving in ULEZ, it's cheaper... Personally, I'd love a non-car owning option that works out cheaper or at least the same!
  8. I've been toying with this idea but couldn't quite make the numbers work. We almost never use the car - the occasional trip to the recycling centre, a day trip and twice a year visit family in rural Devon. It's the latter that makes a car club not work: no clubs down there, no public transport but taking a zip car from here to have down there for a week become super expensive (as does hiring a car down there). We're currently resigned to keeping ours on the thinking you only pay ULEZ when you drive, not when the car is parked on the street - do I have that right?
  9. This appears to have happened to us on Nutbrook Street but with a twist: walked past the car and noticed the driver's door not properly closed. No sign of forced entry and only small things missing (a windscreen cloth, a small torch, didn't take booster seat or cassettes, lol). The twist is: our car does NOT have a remote key - lock broke some time ago, so now you have to open it the old fashioned way with an actual key...Why bother for a car that could do with a serious tidy and is over 20years old? Not sure it's worth reporting?
  10. Our car will have to go - and in a non-covid world it would have sat idle for months on end as we're using public transport for pretty much everything. A bit different now but I guess (hope) that is temporary... Will need a car for regular camping trips and to visit family in Devon and in the past, the option of train + hire cars was crazily expensive (one trip would have cost more than insurance for the year) I wonder what creative options there are...
  11. A cyclist going past my husband lost his wallet today and did stop when my husband called after him... Get in touch if that could be you.
  12. the pharmacy on Bellenden RD had lots of flu jab stock two weeks ago...

In Tier 2 you can't mix household inside but it's the rule of 6 outside afaik. Whenever we booked at the Gowlett to be inside, they've asked if we are in the same household and the inside has been super well ventilated (Big Jackets are advised...)
  14. The Gowlett! Hands down fabulous - they are taking the regulations very seriously: you have to book, table service only, good social distancing - with nice drinks and fab pizza. Been a few times and really enjoyed it!
  15. Not a physio but helped me (and various friends) with pelvic girdle pain: Daniel at Dulwich Chiropractor on Chrystal Palace Road - absolute lifesaver!
  16. I ma also concerned but for the moment believe benefits outweigh the risks (and I am very risk adverse). Will keep monitoring local infection rates and won't hesitate to change my mind if I see a rise in local cases that increases the risks.
  17. Hi, I am trying to arrange a cycle day trip for my husband's birthday and would love ideas for destinations that end up/stop by a nice pub/restaurant/cafe that serves a pint outdoors and are not too busy (we are still very much social distancing...) Would like to make it further than Dulwich or Peckham Rye ;) but has to be within 60-90 min cycling distance for an average 9year old cyclist, too. Any suggestions would ace, thanks!
  18. We've signed up and are looking forward to it: Love Nimble Arts!
  19. A bit late now but anyone fancy something different, try Bar Om on Choumert Road (down from Miss Tapas). It's Vietnamese Streetfood, lots of choices and delicious - and really relaxed with kids if you go early.

Really Maria is exactly what you describe here - fabulous haberdasher with loads of choice and lovely professional advice on creative projects!
  21. I was in the carphone warehouse shop on Rye Lane on Saturday and was pretty impressed with the advice I got from one of the ladies (Clara). I have quite specific requirements and not only was she knowledgable about them but also pointed out other factors that I hadn't considered.
  22. If this is yours, pm me if you want to pick it up.
  23. maybe it was something that needed signing for? You should be able to arrange a free re-delivery, so hopefully, you don't need to schlepp to Orpington...

  25. Hiya, I left it pretty late but am looking into applying for British Citizenship before Brexit happens and potentially upends our lives dramatically. I think I will need a lawyer to help and am looking for recommendations, ideally personal experience... many thanks! M
