  1. It's not about the children it's about the parents. Children are children, parents make choices. It seems to me that what Mike was saying is that he chooses not to take his children to pubs and wishes there were more parents in East Dulwich that saw his point of view. But what do I know ????!
  2. I hope that wasn't aimed at me ????. If it was more fool you. ll of my friends who have children, Mike said he has children himself, would never dream of taking their young children to pubs because they're children! Gorgeous little bundles of joy but demanding, restless, loud, and sometimes stressful- so pubs just don't seem to be the place for them unless it's specifically aimed at them. I remember going to a pub around Victoria Park when I was younger which was wonderful because it had a huge area built in the back away from the main area with a play pit of balls and a climbing net thingy. It was brilliant.
  3. I hope that wasn't aimed at me ????. If it was more fool you. Anyway, I agree, daytimes in pubs and restaurants is fab, absolutely fine and doesn't bother me one single bit. Sorry should have put that at the start.
  4. I find peoples responses to this post very rude. I agree with Mike but it's so hard to say anything about this subject due to responses like this. Yes there are many families in ED that want to always be out and about but personally I think pubs are for adults, or at least adults with teenagers. Parents can't always have it every way.
  5. Thank you m6cdy. I've no idea how Southern work out, I've only ever been with EDF and British Gas.Hmmm...
  6. I'm new to East Dulwich and am renting a flat which was set up with Southern Electric. I always just pay for what I use on a quarterly basis and was wondering firstly, as a renter, can I change my supplier? and secondly, does anyone who also pays this way know which supplier works out the cheapest? I've tried desperately to find out this info on price comparison sites but it always ends up baffling me.
  7. I completely agree, I think it's a disgrace when people litter, and I ended up picking some up that had been left on Peckham Rye common- was shocked to see so much had been left when there was a bin but a mere metre away. Also, I put a newspaper I was finished with on the seat next to me on the bus as I often pick up newspapers that way and thought someone else might want to read it. The person who sat next to me picked it up and threw it straight onto the floor. So I told them that it shouldn't be put on the floor because other people might want to read it. I picked it up and slipped it next to me instead. I was so annoyed at the blatant nonchalance shown for throwing things on the floor.GRRRRRRR!
