  2. This place does sound good, does anyone know if they do any type of Gluten Free Cakes?
  3. Grove Vale, is starting to look a little smarter...new music shop and the furniture store have improved the look of their shop fronts, but agreed as this is the main part between LL and the station, it really would be good to make it more inviting.
  4. The have just had a planning request granted: 6 LORDSHIP LANE, LONDON, SE22 8HN Proposal: Change of use of the ground floor from Class D1 (non residential institutions) to Class A2 (financial and professional services) with installation of a new door to side elevation at ground floor. First and second floors retained as Class A2 offices (financial and professional services) but still available for sale on hindwoods, hunter & payne.
  5. Agree with too many gift shops - but anything is better than an empty shop (within reason) and i can think of worse!!
  6. Nice work for sharing the knowledge Muttley
  7. Where are these photos of grove vale - it would be very interesting to see
  8. M&S Please Please Please
  9. I too almost have one every Sunday - and no problems at all - sorry
  10. Did this flooding cover all of Grove Vale, or just near the roundabout and head of melbourne grove?
  11. So this place is going to becoem Sugar Mammas of Camberwell - anyone got a webite to their homepage or some details on what they sell or do?
  12. I think I have read something about this, but it appears that the Old Barbers opposite Goose Green Roundabout is under offer now has anyone any ideas what it is going to be? That part of the roundabout is slowly smartening up, so fingers crossed this will help!!
  13. Does anyone know which/if any agent is advertising this?
  14. yes me too Jeremy, I would be very very surpised if it was a Starbucks....but stranger things have happened
  15. THere is also going to be a Start bucks at Sainsburys, and one here as well, wow that really is close.
  16. For those giving the plough a hard time (rightfully though), i noticed they have a lot of planning request in the pipeline, not much but a start: 07-AP-0834 R:12/04/2007 : THE PLOUGH PH 381 LORDSHIP LANE, LONDON, SOUTHWARK, SE22 8JJ Installation of 4 signs: hanging post sign, externally lit mural to side elevation, ground floor letters, and first floor letters (both illuminated) 07-AP-0835 R:12/04/2007 : THE PLOUGH, 381 LORDSHIP LANE, LONDON, SOUTHWARK, SE22 8JJ Erection of a new pergola to garden 07-AP-0824 R:11/04/2007 : THE PLOUGH CAFE, 351 LORDSHIP LANE, LONDON, SE22 8JJ New external decking seating area to cafe frontage. Also as i mentioned on the other thread most of the empty shops on LL & GG roundadbout are under offer, so fingers crossed these will turn out to really add to ED.
  17. I use the solictors Willima Bailey near Mrs Robisons, they were great when we bought the freehold and are always happy to talk about any queries i have....fair to say though that i have used them for property related things.
  18. All, noticed duting my lunch time vewing of the propoerty websites that a number of commecial premises on LL & GV have gone under offer, such as the old barbers on GV near the roundabout, the anterior trading shop on northcross road and the Fone.m8 shop 77 LL. Anyone know anymore about possible businesses to fill them? http://www.ukpropertyshop.co.uk/estate-agents/hindwoods-hunter-payne-2462.shtml
  19. Just done a little research and appreas that the planning application for 15 Grove vale was agreed with the group floor being an A1 or A2 type premises: A1 Shops Shops, post offices, travel agents, hairdressers, funeral directors, internet caf?s, dry cleaners (but retail warehouse clubs are excluded). A2 Financial and professional services Banks, building societies, betting offices, and other financial and professional services provided mainly to visiting members of the public. A3 Restaurants and caf?s Use for the sale of food and drink for consumption on the premises. A4 Drinking establishments Use as a public house, wine-bar or other drinking establishment (but not a night club). A5 Hot food takeaways Use for the sale of hot food for consumption off the premises. So it will probaly be a newsagents or a betting shop...fankily neither will do anything to help this part of east dulwich.
  20. I think it is really trying to catchup with ll, not sure about leases, but think it is clear to all that lordship lane is the busy part and people really only venture upto the the station area, simply for the station or the garden centre. I too think this area would benefit from a StarBucks to help speed up the gentrification of the area (as a local buisness may deem it "risky" to setup here. Some new shops have opened, primarily the south london music shop (primarily for kids school music i think) and there are some great small furniture shops. The local news agent has made some effort on the look of his shop. The garden centre, to be fair is very good and I use it regulary.... The area was initally oulined to have all new shop fronts as part of the Bellenden Rd project, but they scapped that part sadly.
  21. On the topic of spate of criminal activity - mates house got burgled this week, in the evening while they were out....sutle approach of lobbing a brick though double glazing. Police saying there are a lot happening in ED at the moment -SO LOCK UP AND HIDE VALUABLES OUT OF SIGHT. Good news blod samples and fingerprints were taken....so hopefully they will catch the thieving piece of $?%?$%.
  22. I too and very keen to give my full support and backing....what needs to be done?
  23. Thanks for re-iterating...however the lease is up for offer at Hinderwoods Hunters Payne. So i am guessing that the "rather disagreeable character" has decided to let it go.
  24. So is a small contengient from this forum, interested (following from another thread) kicking in some cash and investing in one of these retail propoerties and come up with an idea for a good business?? There must be enough knowledge to do something here??
