  1. my ittle one likes to go to sleep with a blanet over her face (also coming up to 6 months). as long as its a light cloth/ blanket i dont see a problem with it. my baby is completley happy and i also feel by this stage she can shuffle herself round if something bothered her.
  2. hi thanks for all the responses. sounds like my probs are similar to others i jump on her at the slightest stirring as i dont want her to wake up hubby. baby duchess also has a dummy and end up putting it back in all night long :::yawn:::. apparently most other countries dont put their little ones into a seperate room for at least the first year
  3. Having a a slight dilema at present. baby duchess will not settle for long periods at night, she does not cry but squeeks and gabbles all night. Im having to constantly get her out of the cot giving her dummies etc. breast feeding her back to sleep just so i can get some kip! Imstarting to think perhaps she should go in her own room, however our spare room is quite far away from our own bedroom (wierd layout of our flat). the thought of constantly walking up their in the night to see to her would send me bonkers. did anyone find that moving baby into another room helped improve night times??
  4. Hoonaloochie: I do agree with you the trees look lovely. However I care for a 95 year old lady and trying to push her down barry road in the wheel chair is becoming tricky and its not easy for us to "dodge" them
  5. does anyone know when the council plan to trim the trees back in Barry Road? they are more or less blocking the pavement in certain places. sorry needed to have a little grumble about this!
  6. hi what age group is this for?
  7. we were always told as a family by 95 year old grandmother that during the war an entire family were wiped out when a bomb was dropped on the site of the timber yard. and the site should never be built on?? bit of history there!! can anyone elaborate|???
  8. thankyou so much for starting this post! having a tough time with our 5 month old who is just making the transition on to solids. went through the newborn phase then she started sleeping for onger periods. thought we had cracked it, now she is waking up every two hours generally im having to put her dummy in or feed her back to sleep. had family members suggest we start putting her in her own room. however the thought of having to get out of bed to go to out spare bedroom which is quite some distance in the middleof the night really dosent appeal...
