    had awful migranes when I was pregnant and would not take pain killers for it; felt like someone was drilling into my head. I am short sighted and get vision disturbances, so its good to know there are others out there with this issue. I have been taking Ibuprofen with lyesine that numbs the pain quite well now.. When I was pregnant I also bought a product called "4head" which i still occassionally use. By the way what are cluster headaches?

    Its good to hear people are trying to get their children into secondary schools in east dulwich. But isnt the charter school in west dulwich?

    I knew someone some years back who left forrest hill boys (due to the same reasons as you stated); and they managed to get a place at Ravenswood School in Bromley. How? I dont know maybe the system was different back then. didnt harriet harmen want to scrap grammer schools/selective schools?

    I wonder what on earth is going on with the schooling in this area? there has been so many threads with poor parents stressing because they cant get the places they want. They say East Dulwich is "on the up" but are the schools? We have two ends of the spectrum here Expensive selective private schools and state schools which clearly have issues that arent being addressed.

    is it worth while booking up an 8 month baby check? generally my baby is very content and happy. i find it strange you have to book this yourself ifind the system very "wishy washy" sometimes. if i hadnt have looked on here iwould have never have known!?

    who is meant to carry out the 8month baby check? do they write to you about this?

    i just stuck with the nhs antenatal classes I was quite shocked by the price the NCT charge for their classes. I found the woman who followed up my enquiry for classes quite off putting on the phone.

    I think its disgusting that the building site near the new cafe in Barry Road has today taken a delivery of flooring screed and had it dumped off the lorry straight onto the road and blocked the pavement aswell. Should it start raining who is going to pay for the blocked drains? I think the council need to take a look at this?

    for early foods, i made my own purees. our weaning went from small amount of baby rice at lunchtime to little tasters of puree. buttenut squash she loved and sweet potatoe

    just thought id post about the after care help i recieved from Kings, which was very good. I rung a maternity helpline which i think was only set up at the beginning of this year? I hadnt seen a midwife when i got home and the were so reassuring and got a lovely midwife sent out to me the next day. I also rung them as we hadnt recieved a newborn hearing test....and they helped me chase this up aswell
