I can also highly recommend Brian from Advanced Painters of Dulwich. His quote was very reasonable and the decorating was of a very high quality. He was polite, did the work in a very timely manner and left our house tidy and clean. We are very happy with the end finish. Looks great! We will be happy to use him and APD again in future. I also just wanted to personally recommend Aria from AFE Plumbing. We've used him before for replacing a faulty shower pump and we were extremely satisfied with his work. I contacted him earlier this week about replacing a leaking waste trap on our kitchen sink. I'd actually started to do the work myself but was having a few difficulties. He was great. He gave me a quote for doing the work but he also kindly offered advice on what parts I needed to do the job myself and where to purchase them from. With his advice I was able to finish the job myself and save myself some money. Thanks again Aria! Much appreciated. We'll definitely use AFE Plumbing in the future and have no hesitation recommending them.

I know this is an old post but we have a new Austrian au pair who has just started who is looking to meet other au pairs in the ares. We wondered if there was an au pair group she could join to make new friends in East Dulwich?

Dulwich Construction have recently finished a side-return kitchen extension for us and we would like to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a builder. Simon Maddocks and his business partner Paul did the most wonderful job and we are so delighted with their work, and the finished build. We were understandably anxious about undertaking a big and fairly lengthy project such as this (particularly as we have a small baby) but Simon and his team were so professional and courteous and made the whole experience completely stress-free. Simon and Paul have a great team working under them - all of them very skilled and personable. Various neighbours have commented on how pleasant and professional they were. Simon is very competitive and fair with his pricing and there were no hidden extras (only add-ons that we asked for). We had a separate architect and Simon worked very professionally with him. Does anyone have any recommendations for local caterers who would come and cater at our home for our son's baptism? We would prefer to have something at our house rather than at a pub/cafe but would ideally like someone else to take care of the catering! Would be really grateful for any ideas/recommendations.
