  1. Managed to get on the 18.30 for Beckenham Junction (only 1 more day of service). Train is heaving, sweaty, very packed.
  2. Do you work for Southern Rail?
  3. Just checking live departures from London Bridge via East Dulwich. Here we are: 17.01: Delayed 17.11: expected 17.25 18.08: CANCELLED
  4. One the reasons we moved to ED was the excellent commuting options. This now has evaporated with the dismal service of Southern Rail. This will impact the High Street and will encourage people to move from the area. It really impacts the community from young to old alike. First Brexit now this. The bad news keeps coming.
  5. 7.30 cancelled. Bastards!
  6. Does anyone know if we have legal ground to sue Southern Rail because of this action? This will cause enormous stress and hardship to thousands of hardworking Residents of East Dulwich and other affected communities that rely on dependable rail services to/from London Bridge. Southern should not be allowed to get away with this.
  7. Other options to look at are Magnet and the German kitchen companies like Pronorm.
  8. I would certainly support this. It works well in Herne Hill.
  9. Ok thanks. Still not working. Reset router several times, Checked all connections etc.Might b related to my area only.
  10. Hi there. Anyone in ED experiencing problems with sky broadband tonight?
  11. We finally got all the rubbish removed from two L & Q housing association houses on Blackwater St. It took many emails to Southwark Council Environmental enforcement and complaints to the L & Q housing association as well as some assistance from James B. but today it was hauled away so persistance does pay off.
  12. Virgin Media Cabinet still open - week 5. 4 phone calls and complaint online via Virgin website and still no one to come to lowly East Dulwich to address the problem. Apalling!
  13. Yesterday a van from a trade company (name known) came speeding down Melbourne and made a reckless turn down Blackwater Street towards Lordship Lane and almost crashed into us. This is not the first time. People travel much too fast especially on Saturday when this street is extremely busy because of the butcher and theatre traffic. Everyone needs to slow down and take care not just in this area but all residential streets. It is a hazard to all especially small children.
  14. Virgin box on LL Lane still open 3 weeks on with guts spilling out. 3 calls made (1 every week) with no follow up by Virgin.
  15. Hi. Not sure if this is related but the virgin switchbox cabinet on corner of Lordship Lane across from the butcher has been open for 2 weeks now with internals spilling out. I called the number twice to have someone from virgin come to close but no action in 14 days.
  16. We have the same issue with a flat on Blackwater St. The rubbish has been there for months. Also tried the council with no success. Who enforces this?
  17. Monkey, I agree. The train service in/out of London Bridge is disgraceful. Last week the 18.10 was cancelled Monday, Tues and Wed.and its the rare day when a service actually leaves LB on time.
  18. We live on one of the streets off Melbourne Grove. On weekends in particular, we see a lot of traffic cutting from Lordship Lane to MG to access ED Grove and its plainly dangerous for residents of all ages. With two new schools coming in, the traffic will only get worse. We welcome a traffic calming solution which will benefit local residents.
  19. Thanks James. Ruffers have a look. Crumbly bricks and plaster.
  20. James, I have contacted the council about the sign precariously secured over the sidewalk above the Indian restaurant near to William Rose Butcher. See photos attached. This is a hazard given the state of the crumbling concrete and way the sign is secured. Any suggestions on how this can be addressed? Trav
  21. I'm with KK on this one. A tree of that size has no business being so near to a property in an area susceptible to subsidence although it does not justify leaving the branches around.
  22. Signed and promoted. Just say NO to Nunhead primary in East Dulwich! Trav
  23. So,if there was a nunhead primary in ED, how would those children from nunhead get to school? Yes, mummy and daddy's car. How about adding some more traffic congestion to our already crowded ED streets. I support the secondary school and health facility. Nunhead primary belongs in Nunhead!
  24. Is resident parking permits on the cards for ED? With coming theatre and new primary and secondary schools parking will become very challenging.
