  1. I have had one business association with Parkhill, and on the morning of a business lease being due to sign and all looking well, he pulled out to give to a colleague and left my business without trading premiss with only 1 week left on my old lease. I can categorically say they have the morals of a gnat and clearly rides rod-shot over all in their path. I do take great pleasure knowing he has paid a fortune for property at the top of the market which will eventually hurt the profitability and cash flow of the business. F-off Parkhill T-Shirts now on sale.
  2. West Dulwich - It is actually Lambeth, but easy enough. It is near the bottom of Rosendale rd. Marked here http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=532549&Y=172057&A=Y&Z=1
  3. i had dozens of jumpers ruined - so I put cedar blocks in all wardrobes, drawers etc (put loads in) and 18 months later - still no moth attacks.. happy days.
  4. up on the hill by the flats on overhill rd - just for the view - especially at dusk...
  5. The Herne is your local - just go after 5pm when the kids all go to bed....
  6. I believe there have been other posts suggesting the same, however, I would caution against suggesting naming them outright (slander). I think a call to the police will prove fruitless, but maybe sending the garage owner an anonymous letter may warn him off....
  7. Where is this pub??
  8. got me - deleted all my private info on facebook... needed to be done anyway...
  9. Is it me, or is the use of a word like Duppy not simply racist? To my great embarrassment, my Grandfather one referred to the people of Sudan (for whom he nearly died and had a huge amount of respect) as Fuzzy-Wuzzies. This jokey 'innocent at the time' sort of phrase used by one racial type against any other race - either by the majority or minority serves only to draw further differences and misunderstandings of respect and understanding between groups. Racism cuts both ways - you can't cry foul and then change the rules.
  10. Jags Man... We play there each week and i usually have an argument with him. I think he is just a jobsworth who likes to get involved in anything as he is given such dull jobs to do. Not the brightest tool in the cabinet, but generally harmlessly annoying.
  11. Any school is better than no school and if the site wasnt a school , it would have been flats which would have caused even more outrage... Lets give the school some local support and lets see what they can do. Lets hope we are pleasantly surprised. Its a done deal now - lets get on with it.
  12. Thats how the Irish shop survives! It obviously sells a whole year of green shamrocks and leprechaun hats in one bash!
  13. Where is the white horse? Never heard of it? Is it in ED, or an area masquerading as ED Borders?
  14. I think ?3.50 a pint is about right? I can't think of anywhere other than grotpubs where it is much cheaper. I believe that future for pure 'drinking' pubs is not so great. If you want to attract families, couples or groups, you need variance. I am willing to pay a few quid move over a night out to sit in pleasant surroundings that have been cared for. Sounds like this guy has a plan to try and turn the CPT into a more interesting place with wider appeal. In order to attract people up from the lane they need to offer something different. Good on him. I shall swing by this week and sup a few.
  15. Time to start lobbying M&S??
  16. Does anyone know what is going to be in the 4 units currently empty nr. the plough?
  17. Hi D - If the overwhelming response is negative, maybe it is because the majority of users don't agree with the choices made. If a perceived mistake has been made, people will not thank you for taking the initiative. Of course good work has been done and you can never please everybody, but don't take it so personally. Working on public projects always has a thankless aspect! Take it on the chin old girl. ;-)
  18. Its got to be the junction of Lordship / Northcross rd?? The palmerston would do nicely too.
  19. This is great news - hopefully the combined pestering from both sides of the hill will encourage them to extend it. More emails pls people!!
  20. Jenny takes part in the open house program - I think coming up soon. Find out when it is then you can nose round properly!
  21. If we keep on at them it might be enough to get them to notice us and trial the route extension... Pls keep emailing them.!
  22. I once chased some kids doing something similar in Clapham. They ran for their lives. In fairness, so would most people if being chased by a 15 stone guy only wearing pants, effing and blinding. The walk home was one of shame I hope not to repeat....
  23. The 63 just needs to be extended by 750 mtrs to go to the Brockley rise junction. The 363 would indeed be a detour.
  24. Best bread in the world though! SimonM Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ?3 for bread eh? > > Ocado are currenly offering Pain Poilane at ?10.50 > a loaf! :))
  25. Darwinism. Need I say more? >:D<
