ED Dog Lovers - where to go with a dog around here?
victoria_inn replied to Curmudgeon's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
we welcome dogs on a lead & have a pub dog Queenie. our sister pubs The Actress, The Bishop, The Rye, The Florence, The Merchant, The New Cross House & The Clarence all welcome dogs too. -
SteveUk1978- welcome to the area! you should definitely not miss us out. Peckham Rye is a great place to start your crawl as lordship lane does stay open a little later. i am guessing you will need to line your stomachs before your heavy drinking session so why don't you come and have a meal here first? As a moving in to the area gift I would like to offer you & all your friends 25% off your meal & drinks. please check out the menu on our website & let me know if you would like to book a table. www.victoriainnpeckham.com you should check out the Rye too, they have a huge beer garden so would be great if you get lucky with the weather and it is 5 minutes walking distance from here. see you soon, Molly

hi all, we have recently opened our fantastic new jungle room at The Victoria Inn. the brightly painted, jungle themed room is packed full of children's toys to keep them entertained for hours. we also have a camera in there which is linked to a screen in the pub so you are able to enjoy your lunch & drinks whilst still being able to keep your eye on your little ones. the access to the room is completely free & even better if you come and sign up to our mum's the word loyalty card you will receive lots of great exclusive offers such as 25% off your meal. hope to see you all down here soon, Molly

Most famous person I've seen in ED so far....
victoria_inn replied to stevebailey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
She comes here a lot and is very sweet. She did tell me off for barring the drunk man and went outside to meet his family after I made him leave. Bizarre. She definitely seems like she can handle herself. -
Twirly- our sister pub, the actress, are not doing their rooms yet. If you are looking for nice local rooms our recently refurbished rooms are gorgeous. http://www.capitalpubcompany.com/The-Victoria-Inn

oh you might want to forward it until it says 2minutes remaining it is a quite a long video if you don't like xfactor..
-
we do show xfactor every saturday with the sound on. we play it in the rear of the pub & it is extremely popular. for those that don't want to watch it they can sit in the front area of the bar without being exposed to hearing it or even having to see it. everyone is happy. http://tiny.cc/wqhek look at all the smiling faces...
-
Ratty- have you ever been to the victoria inn?
-
X factor fans we are having x factor parties at the Victoria starting this weekend. Think it should be a good giggle for everyone to get together over a few beers and watch the show. Hope to see you this saturday. Molly

m&m fairy- i missed you! let me know next time you are planning on popping down. would love to meet you. Molly
-
panda- I moved in to the victoria inn when we opened almost 4 months ago & I have been overwhelmed with the area. I feel like i have lived here for years! everyone is so friendly & there is a real community feeling around here & i can honestly say i couldn't imagine wanting to live anywhere else. you have Ganapati on your doorstep which i think is one of the most incredible places you could ever eat. have you been there yet? & obviously you came here so i'm glad you approve of your new local. I missed you that evening though so please do pop in & say hi soon. Stephen W- did you come to the Meatwagon here last night? now we have knocked down the wall for Yianni to work his magic I'm sure he will be visiting again very soon. Molly

strawbs & michelle-b - glad you're both up for the evening. any ideas on when you think we should do it? binary_star & DJKillaQueen - think that we should start a new thread. loving the pink night idea. m&m fairy- ahh thanks really glad you would like to get involved & you are a fan of our pubs. what day are you coming over this weekend? if you need me to book you a table or anything let me know. you will have to introduce yourself when you come down. so shall we all say plan an evening in a couple of weeks? Molly
-
great anyone else? :)
-
binary_star- thank you glad you have been hearing good press. are you local? our website is www.victoriainnpeckham.com. please do join our mailing list. to be honest I hadn't really thought about hosting a night here until i saw this thread but it seems that there is a demand for it & I love throwing a party! I know what you mean about 'organised nights' but I was thinking a few nibbles & drinks. pretty relaxed & I'm pretty sure us ladies will have plenty to talk about. I would be happy to host an evening here but is anyone else interested? If we get enough interest on here I will get flicking through the diary. Molly

Where is good for Sunday lunch with kids?
victoria_inn replied to Layla's Mum's topic in The Family Room Discussion
EatsDulwich- Thank you. I'm really glad you enjoyed our roasts so much. Really looking forward to your return & meeting the baby :) Layla's mum- I definitely think you should check out The Florence. The kids playroom is amazing & keeps the little ones entertained for hours. We are planning to build a kids playroom here as it has proved so popular. On top of that the roasts are great, but you will definitely need to book as Sunday lunches are extremely popular. Make sure you sign up for our mum's the word loyalty cards that you can use here, at the florence & the bishop which entitles you to lots of different exclusive offers. At the moment here we are offering 25% off your bill for you +1 & the kids. Molly -
if it is a change of scenery you are after why don't we organize a night here? anyone tried us yet? Molly
