  1. Sharon's garden centre has a great selection already!
  2. Loads of factors to consider! Labradors are great family dogs, chilled with the kids BUT they do she'd an awful lot! Non shedding doodle mixes are lovely (cockapoos, Cavapoos, Labradoodles, etc) BUT they need loads of brushing&grooming to avoid having a dog that is constantly matted.you may want to consider going to Crufts or Discover Dogs to meet different breeds to help you decide. You could also join Borrow my doggy, to give it all a try? Another factor is Where to get the dog from. Make sure you don't buy a puppy from the Internet. Best place to look is the UK Kennel Club website. You csn search different breeds/breeders in specific areas. Only buy from a genuine breeder. Be careful, there are a lot of crooks out there! Don't rush. Wait for the right dog. Good luck with it all. It's a huge commitment but amazingly rewarding. ;)
  3. how do I contact admin please?
  4. I do my mum's duck in my slow cooker. Take a whole duck, salt it a LOT, chuck it in for 4-5 hours on slow. The salt will cook out all the fat from the duck which ends up in the bottom, and the duck comes out crispy on the outside and moist , falling off the bone on the inside. A winner with our family every time. :)
  5. We went to pirate party yesterday, and the entertainer was great with the kids, I don't know how much, but you can check their website Nuttys. (I think it was called)
  6. Stevie is very good, she does mine and my son's hair, we are very happy with her. search for her on this forum to find her details.

  10. Hi hello sailor, our son when he was about 4.5, used to pull his hair at the back, creating quite a bald patch. A psychiatrist friend said it was stress and nervousness but I really believe it was just a bad habit he got into, like biting nails, or sucking thumbs. I always held his hand when I realised he was doing it and told him to stop. I would often also give him something to hold \ fumble with. I also took a photo of the back of his head to show him how it looked. After about 4 months he stopped and the hair grew back. Now I look back on it as just another phase that passed. Don't worry too much, I am sure your little one will grow out of it soon!

  13. I would really appreciate some advice, after having been given a treatment plan today that scares me! My son is 5. About 5 months ago i noticed a small black spot on two of his back teeth. Made an appointment straight away at the local dentist. My son was being a bit difficult so they swiftly referred me onto kings. It took 4 months to get an appointment. We finally went today, only to be told to come back again in another month's time for actual treatment. In the meantime, even though me and hubby always scrub his teeth properly twice daily, his two teeth have got so bad (according to dentist at kings) that they either have to be pulled or covered in stainless crowns. They say a normal filling is not an option as it would not last. They want to sedate him and give him local anaesthetic to put the crowns on. I am not happy and my feeling is I will not go through with this plan, but i would love to hear any opinions, and suggestions. Is this normal? I have never heard of crowns on milk teeth?! And please do not write giving me a lecture about sugar free snacks etc that's not what I need. Thanks very much.
