Hi, my son started a new school in Sept and all the boys are football mad. My son has the enthusiasm but is constantly put in goal and he lacks some of the core basic skills and understanding of the game. He doesn't want to join a big group at this stage - so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some fun one-to-one football lessons (near Herne hill / Dulwich) just to get him up to a point where he can play with the others in his class. Has anyone got a recommendation for a fun football or rugby 'class' for my little man (4 years old) please? Actually he is still 3 - he'll be 4 in June We are in Herne Hill but don't mind jumping in the car if he enjoys it. Probably weekends better as he is at school most days. Thanks for any help Lindsay

Can anyone recommend a home based first aid course please i.e. someone coming to your home to teach you? I would like one that covers off what to do in the event of a child choking, or burns etc? If not, then can anyone recommend a DVD? Thanks Lindsay

Our lovely, creative nanny who is Slovakian and speaks very good English, takes care of our wonderful son Jack. I work full time so our nanny works 5 days a week. Jack is 17 months old. We live in Herne Hill. Our nanny takes Jack to activities and also has a number of play-dates, one of which is with a 2 year old girl and they play beautifully together and have real fun. Unfortunately my nanny's friend is moving away so that their play-dates sadly have to come to an end. So we are looking for a nanny/mummy and toddler with whom they can share a regular play-date. I must admit I would prefer to have a chat with you / your nanny before we press ahead with plans - but please PM me if you are keen to get involved in a play-date with Jack and our nanny. Lindsay

We have just moved to the area (SE24) and I've 8 weeks to go before the birth of our first baby. I have heard so many stories about the need to register for schools even at this stage and have heard wonderful things about the Catholic school - St Anthony's. Can anyone enlighten me about this / other schools and what we need to do to put ourselves in the best position going forward? Being in North Dulwich / Herne Hill - are we in the right area? We will probably move in about a year but would want to make sure we make a sensible choice re location. I will be heading back to work in January 2011 and so will be in touch again nearer the time looking for a nanny share too! Longshot - but if anyone could recommend a maternity (night) nurse too that would be really helpful although happy to go via an agency on this one.
