We also had a visit Karter. There are parking problems on some roads especially those off the busy parts of Lordship Lane. However, my experience of such measures and the sheer volume of people coming to shop on LL in cars, makes me doubtful their proposals would improve the problem. They would just lead to those residents having difficulty parking having to pay a yearly sum on top! Indeed, if they were successful, such measures would surely impact on the LL shops. Wish they would concentrate on making LL safer and more pedestrian friendly. Solving the lack of a safe crossing near Somerfield and across East Dulwich Grove would be a good place to start.

Curry Cabin has always been no.1 in our house, especially for takeaway. Sean M-G - they have made some moves to drop the bright colours - their lemon rice no longer glows in the dark.... Tried to get through to the Bombay Bicycle on Sat night but it was engaged for half an hour..so business must be good!

We bought through Haart when we moved to East Dulwich and found them to be ok but similarly not very interested in us. It was more a case of us finding the property that they happened to have on the books. I recommend you go and see Mel at DVR as well. He works at the office near the Library but showed us places all over E.Dulwich. He really made an effort to understand what we were looking for and made looking round umpteen properties a pleasure.
