Recommendation: Carpet Cleaning Services - Bradley O'Reilly
richfish replied to CameronMac's topic in Reviews
Thank you Bradley for doing such a good job on cleaning our carpets, they look fantastic! Would definitely recommend him. -
Still no connection here, we reckon down now nearly 30 hours, lack of reliable information & customer service is appalling, cut off several times on phone and they just don't seem to care. I have even tweeted Richard Branson. if I knew how to I would try to get this trending. Trouble is their supposed speed still one of the best unless others know better.

Are they, John Lewis, still refusing to pay the cleaners the living wage - not very ethical at all!

How do you apply for one then?

I gave up on the email route, and it appears that to register and use Patient Access you need to have proof of ID verified by the surgery before you have authorised use. So I ended up with the old phone and 20 minutes of repeated calling at 8am today paid off. I got a call back at 3.30pm today and an appointment at 6pm. Amazing. Though it does all feel rather random and inconsistent which isn't the best standard to attain when you are feeling ill. Anyways will do as Cora recommends as well.

I have emailed them to ask why I cannot book online so hopefully it will all become clearer whether you can in fact do what they say. Or maybe not.
-
I was told yesterday that you cannot make an appointment by email despite what their website says and their earlier communication about email appointment booking on the forum. You have to ring. They told me this by email! I totally agree that the management of this centre is appalling.

The cycle hoop looks a great idea, has it been secure in use in Lambeth? We have 2 bikes which in a typical Victorian hallway is real pain to live with, lots of pedal scratched ankles. And sorry to hear about your loss, same happened here just before Xmas. It's very frustrating.

One bike stolen and another with half sawn-through frame, disturbed culprit at about 5.30am but too late. Locks untouched just cut through the frames! Locked in front garden where they have been safely kept for many many years. Hey ho. Be vigilant everyone, even a v.v expensive lock isn't going to stop them.

Newbuilds in gardens - Hindmans Road
richfish replied to kate h's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
So are these the people renovating no.10 by re-pointing one wall per month? Imagine how long a new build would take them to complete, it will be a building site for decades. -
Just wondering if I will continue to see Addison Lee transporting the expense account residents of SE22 or will the cyclist hate comments mark the end of the Ford Galaxy empire? I rather hope so - can't be terribly inspiring to work for a man that incites aggression to our growing community of cyclists.

Yes really good plants and a good selection of perennials that you don't see in London garden centres. You can buy on line too at certain times of the year. Very good quality and well-priced I think. Check out Sussex Prairie too - its much nearer than Beth's place, a very different garden but nice little selection of unusual plants for sale. And if you want to indulge yourself inspirationally do one of the day long courses at Great Dixter - sublime.

I saw a notice in the window of the Mag pub (is it still called that?) advertising foreign language clubs, French and other Euro languages, taking place in the pub for a couple of hours in the evening once a week. Presumably largely conversational. Has anyone used them or got any feedback about them please?

It is working OK on Hindmans. Hasn;t been too bad for the last few months.

Fortnightly blue bin collection not enough?
richfish replied to Mrs TP's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James, yes I think handles would be good and make them easier to use, but I still think the bags would benefit from being stronger. But that might just be me. And I must retract my comment about the blue bins on hindmans north. They are everywhere! So quickly a part of the streetscape that they have become invisible? Surely not.
